Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Operation Hot Roommates scored a a decisive victory this afternoon. :D

Not that bad. She's in the mountains in Peru. :p

I may still make a trip up there, I haven't planned that far ahead yet. :p

There are basically 4 weekends that I have plans, but will end up having something every weekend, its possible a UP trip is in the cards for one of those weekends.

Well you better plan ahead :p
I have matters to attend to in Wisconsin some of those weekends.
Plus I'll be in your land two weekends (once for a race, once for the Flugtag)
Anyways, I'm going to start a reservation list for the bouch :p

Second weekend in July - Club Invitational (Calcutta)

Second weekend in August - County fair (yes, thats the redneck me and the me that is looking to make money)
Third weekend in August - Ryder Cup-style tournament

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

I went to pick up my parents to drive them to lunch (we met my brother and his family and his inlaws there) and my mother said she found a $20 bill in her pocketbook so after lunch she wanted to go to Kimball Farm for ice cream afterwards. This is a place where a small could easily feed two people and the ice cream is awesome. Anyway, she said she would pay because this was found money. I told her "You know what I'm going to do for you because it's Mother's Day? I'm going to let you!" :)

Kimballs :(

Ice cream there is always a meal but its a great meal.

Alright, and I can tell you the weekends I won't be around for sure.
July 2-4: Race @ Brainerd, probably. If not, then I'll be up in the Keweenaw.
July 23-25: Flugtag in MN/PB's 23rd.

Any other weekend, I believe you're welcome. Last weekend in June could be fun because I won't have any classes (the weekend between tracks)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

:( Hope all turns out well!

She got home at noon and she thinks she won't need a round of chemo but that has to be determined. This is essentially like my father where they came in took it out... and no more cancer. I guess the doctor is a national expert in whatever the heck they did so everything is in good hands.

I'm sorry, Minnesota is closed. Please try back never. :p

I'm hoping to be in Brainerd over the 4th, well not Brainerd, its actually Breezy Point, but close enough.

From what you've posted it sounds like she's going through the same thing my mom did about 6 years ago. She followed it up with a bad reaction to the morphine and ended up in really tough shape. But they got everything taken care of and she's been healthy since. Hopefully your mom ends up with an equally successful result.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Well that's strange. Come visit at the track?
If I got to Brainerd I'm not going to a racetrack. :p

I'll be at the lake or at one of the following: The Classic, The Pines, The Preserve, The Legacy, Deacon's Lodge.

Well maybe I'll pawn Steve and his boat off on you, and hang out with my dad :p

Its funny... they put my father on morphine... and he was just out of it. I don't think they put my mother on it at all. Different place different results? I dunno. Of course that's nothing like when they put my late-grandmother on morphine after having kidney removal surgery (smoked for years) and she described how she thought the doctors and nurses were devils and a bunch of other weird ****. We weren't there to see this reaction first hand but she described it to us. I miss having her around.

I know how that goes... just realized it would be my great-grandma who passed away in January's 99th birthday.
Speaking of that, so my boss is mad at me because my class schedule changed (which he knew **** well about before I even was hired). He decided to schedule me to work immediately after my great-grandma's burial on Friday, and on Wednesday when I have lab for Bio.
Not really sure what to do about this, because there's nobody that I can change shifts with.
Do I just call the store manager tomorrow and ask her?

Well, it better be a ski boat or a party barge, because there won't be much fishing on our lake. I don't think anyone has caught a decent size fish there since my grandpa bought the cabin. It just isn't big enough and it gets overfished. Oh well, I hate fishing, so I don't care. I'd much rather go jet skiing.

My mom had morphine after the surgery and just got progressively worse for a couple hours after the surgery and eventually she had some kind of a seizure and the machines started beeping and people came rushing into the room. It was like what happens on House, friggin scary.

Are you planning on meeting your buddies out on the lake and heading out to a special place?
