His constant defenses of Detroit? Yeah, he's a little over the top, but I overlook it because I got the impression that he works for the city in some capacity.

I'm not too thrilled when some of the more 'collar-popping' type Easterners take a dump on this place (or any Midwest city not named Chicago or MSP), but I'm not blind either. Detroit, in spite of what it does have going for it, is still a fcked up city that has a long way to go before it gets any respect from people who don't live around here. And I'm fully aware that's coming from a guy who grew up in a cushy suburb, not Detroit proper.

Yeah, all I'm asking is to be realistic, to an extent. St Paul isn't the greatest for an event, given the lack of a nightlife (in comparison to Mpls) and I won't pretend it to be. Ya know?

St. Paul has some nightlife, but it's scattered in mostly neighborhood bars. The real action is in downtown Minneapolis.

Morning lodge

I'm trying to quit drinking 1-2 diet Pepsi's every day at work and switching to diet green tea. I miss carbonation.

And downtown Minneapolis is even more crazy now with the ballpark down there.

Congrats to lil and hockeyplayer! Good luck to all those with interviews (even the Fighting TBD air traffic controller I like to tweak;) ).

I get to go climb around in some steam tunnels today, yay me! Thought I got past all that back when I was a student engineering assistant at the U. All my guys are busy drawing today and I need to get a proposal from a sub-consultant so we get to go visit the steam tunnel. :o

You'd be better off drinking regular hot green tea. Same caffeine buzz without the nasty taste of aspartame or whatever the diet brand sweetened with.

Good morning, Lodge.

I know :o
I'm one of those people who has a beverage all day long. Before anyone gives me any crap - water, although essential, is boring. If I could get a regular unsweetened tea I'd be happy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #110: Offseason Is Here, So Deal With It.

I've tasted a couple different kinds of teas, didn't like any of them. Haven't seen a need to try any more. I don't mind just drinking water, as long as it is so cold, it is practically ice.

Mornin' Loj.
Congrats 'Lil! :)
Sorry Detroit fans. :(

Heh. My brother is a math genius (not joking). They saved up all the math brains and gave them out after I was born. Lil has had many conversations this yr with Unca Boop.

Could switching to Geico really save you fifteen percent on your car insurance? Are the San Joses in the process of making the Detroits schedule a tee time?
