:p I kid. It's an Asian (I believe it's Thai) hot sauce that has become more common recently. It's quite delicious and versatile. Wiki The "rooster" brand is popular here in the US

This. I think you're right with the Thai origin. I got discouraged when I couldn't find it at the grocery store today at first, but then I realized an ASIAN sauce wouldn't be with the MEXICAN hot sauces.

In other news: today is my parents' 25th anniversary. My dad showed up to my mom's team's track practice with 25 long stemmed roses. Good work, Dad.

"Hot sauce" does not do it justice. "Pure, ground chile paste" would be a better description. :D

I always wondered what that grocery store (rooster) sauce was.

And * power outages. In the middle of watching a new episode of "Californication" and the power goes out for about an hour/hour and a half. A few blocks wide, at the least.

It was eerie. NOTHING (obviously) was lit, including the lights at Ridgedale (you can see reflections off the water tower from them).

Thankfully, my battery in my laptop was full, so I had some light to find my cell and my lighter to move around.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th recently - I showed up with a diamond ring. She was pleased. :D

Ughhhh, I knew it wasn't a good idea at 7 to lay down for a 1 hour nap. That turned into 4 hours, and now my sleep pattern is back to being ridiculously out of whack. Hopefully this gets fixed tomorrow night, or I'll be angry at myself.
