Heh, no kidding. But more of a welcome to sports played on turf, since I have never really played anything on the stupid surface.

Was going to go skiing tomorrow, but waking up in 5 hours won't be happening, and I don't want to irritate the **** out of my leg. Unfortunately this means the end of the season for me. :( :( :(

A few Jameson on the rocks didn't do anything for that pit in my stomach.

Seriously? If so, I respect you slightly more now. ;)

I hope the title game Saturday night is competitive. From a fan's perspective the hockey wasn't compelling to watch.

I agree so I didn't watch much of either game. Tough to watch yawn jobs when you don't have your team there.

I knew BC and Wisco were good but wow those were beat downs.

Hopefully Saturday is a little different.

Just an FYI, Gustav Nyquist wins the Hopey tonight at 7pm on ESPNU:D

Going to a retirement seminar at work soon. (Monday also.) Not that I will necessarily retire soon, but it is always good to find out about things.

Wednesday night I played hockey on a rink that was so rough it caught my buddy's sock, pulled it down, caught the soft padding on his shin guard, pulled it down, and gave him a turf burn while one knee, toe-dragging to stay on-sides. That rink was brutal.

Morning Lodge.

Very happy its Friday, and that the Twins are not on the west coast next week. They have been keeping me up way too late to have to wake up for 7:00 work. :p

ctf: what the hell is a rum and coke jello shot, that doesn't even sound good. gelatin and coke shouldn't mix

Good morning Lodge.

I watched a little bit of both F4 games and I agree with previous posts that yesterdays games were pretty pathetic.

Not sure if this was brought up or not on the telecasts but is it me or did the ice surface look like shiat? Any discussions on TV from players or a coach regarding the quality of the ice?

I'm indifferent toward the nickname...I'm just happy to hear any news that upsets the UND fan base. :)

I never thought I'd say this.......but I agree with DL. ;)

^This. :D

Morning Lodge.

I too only watched bits of these games. Was at work for most of the first. Kid played spring hockey (scored one) for most of the second. DVRed them, may look at them this weekend just to see if I can pick out Scarlet.;)

Caught a bit of an interview with Osecki (sp?), BADger assistant during the BC game and he mentioned something about adjusting to the ice conditions. I assume it was bad (but not as bad as Target Center when the Gophs and BADgers played there).

It looked worse. At least Target Center has had ice before and knows what to do.

What were all the lines on the ice anyways? Was that the refrigeration tubes underneath? If so the ice must of been really thin, because you don't usually see that.

And DL, you can go step in front of a bus. The world would be better if you died.

I don't think it was the actual tubes that you could see. I'm thinking that because the tubes are running there the ice got more frost or opague for some reason. I would have thought that the cooling tubes were closer together than that, we always hear about how many miles of tubing are under a sheet of ice (5 miles according to this company http://www.berg-group.com/IceRinkChillerSystem.htm), and there wasn't miles of tube if those lines represented the tubing.

Just like in movies when someone gets smoked by a bus completely out of nowhere? Can we get video? I'd like to see this...over/under on how far the old lady visor flies?

"Down the tubes -- hear that one a lot. People say, "Ah, the country is going down the tubes."

What tubes? Have you seen any tubes? Where are these tubes? And where do they go? And how come there's more than one tube?

It would seem to me, one country, one tube. But is every state all of a sudden have to have its own tube now? One tube is all you need. But a tube that big? Somebody would have seen it by now. "Hey Joey! Get a load of these *****' tubes!"

:D
