Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

That went out of style with the jews killing all non-jews living in the land god said was theirs.

There's a place in the world for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,
He's always at home with his back to the wall.
And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost,
He struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross-
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.

Thank you! Oh, oh, yo yo yo oh oh

Give a moment or two to the angry young man,
With his foot in his mouth and his heart in his hand.
He's been stabbed in the back, he's been misunderstood,
It's a comfort to know his intentions are good.
He sits in a room with a lock on the door,
With his maps and his medals laid out on the floor
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.

I believe I've passed the age of consciousness & righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too, I had my pointless point of view,
Life went on no matter who was wrong or right, ohhhhh

And there's always a place for the angry young man,
With his fist in the air and his head in the sand.
And he's never been able to learn from mistakes,
He can't understand why his heart always breaks.
His honor is pure and his courage as well,
He's fair and he's true and he's boring as hell!
And he'll go to the grave as an angry old man.

Whoa, and there's always a place for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,
He's always at home with his back to the wall.
And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost,
He struggles and bleeds ‘til he hangs on the cross
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.

and knowing full well this can apply to me as well.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

For the last couple of years, I have been voting for all Lodge members in the POTY contest. I was going to say of the 40 currently in the running, only two, Handyman and MaizeRage aren't Lodge members, then I discovered that Handyman has maxed out.

From Handyman:

I honestly had no idea I had maxed out my rep...I feel I should give a speech :D

It would appear I reached the milestone on my birthday March 13th at 6:32am in the NHL Season Thread and I am about 99% sure it was Priceless though he didn't sign it. (it was in response to his post which he mentioned in the rep)

First assist goes to Greyeagle on 3/7 in the Oscar thread and the second assist goes to MattS on 3/6 in the TV Thread.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Happy Easter, checking in from home. Been able to catch up with some friends who I haven't seen in a long time, and it's been nice weather so I've been busy getting some stuff done.

Heading back to school tomorrow, dunno whether it will be with my car or my dads, as my car needs a front wheel bearing replaced. If my car is ready by mid afternoon, I'll be taking mine, otherwise it's my dad's car for this week until my mom and sister come down to NYC Saturday to cruise to Bermuda (consider me jealous, although my 90 day cruise to Europe will trump it, if only because we're going to Dublin:D ).

Hope all is well with everybody, and enjoy whatever day you celebrate today.

Good lord, that Easter thread is a trainwreck. Whatever happened to live and let live??
James Bond and Paul McCartney put an end to that almost forty years ago now. English pig dogs!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

and here i thought the Gophers thread was the biggest trainwreck...

Lessee if I can offend everyone with a summary...

-Timothy A starts the thread, since Jesus reads USCHO
-Brent, bbdl and others derail and pee on it
-Foxton takes a dump in the thread, but no one smells it just yet
-TBA plays Chris Crocker ("LEAVE JESUS ALONE!!") between peanuts
-Patman bites the hook Foxton hid in his pile of crap
-Interlude: DL hits on Lady Wore Black and everyone makes fun of Wisconsin
-...and we're back, with a confirmation by Timothy A that Jesus really does read USCHO
-AMC tries to talk sense into the thread...
-...and Red Cloud punches him in the nuts
-eaglehockeyrules asks Foxton to the Intolerance Homecoming Dance, but Foxton only has eyes for Red Cloud
-Jelly beans!

I'm not hitting on her! She's trying to give me the hookup with a hot friend of hers. :)
