Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Afternoon tLodge!

I hate black licorice and I can't drink, so my share of Jager is up for grabs. :)

Well it looks like there is a good chance I can send it in and get it repaired for a couple of hundred bucks. That would be awesome if it was the case.
:) Hope that they can fix it for you!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Black licorice must be one of those flavors that you either love or hate, no middle ground. The only form of it that I will willing consume is Jagermeister, and that is only if someone buys me a shot, I won't buy it myself.

Sounds like how saffron (a weird spice) is. We used to sell saffron bread, rolls, etc. @ Toni's, and nobody could ever really describe it or compare it to anything.

Though, in my case, I'd describe black licorice as a lot of not so nice things.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I imagine they didn't screw around much in Fort Wayne and were soon speeding north on I-69 like everybody else was.

They really should name that stretch of road in her honor...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

I used to violently hate black licorice, now it's not so bad. Jager is all right and Absinthe is a killer.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

In addition to downpour, we also have high winds. We have whitecaps on the river out back.
We also have a leak in the roof of the sunroom so the rain is coming right in.
The phone is also out, and the repairman will be here sometime before 6.

Other than that, Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?

Yikes!! Get out the swimmies!

Checking in from the apartment. The washer still hasn't been fixed   Just went over and asked the landlord when I can expect that to happen (it's been a week and I'd like to wash some clothes). Otherwise, rather quiet here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Just going to go on record as saying that black licorice is awesome. :)

Note to self. In addition to raisins and oatmeal make sure to add black licorice and black jelly beans to the list of things that should be banned.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

also - went to the clinic at school and decided not worth going back again. Got a referral to see a doc and a script for 11 months of a drug that I didn't want to take. Will comply until I visit the next doc (after all, not read for any lambs to be running around yet :p ).

Saffron is alright... licorice, not so much. At least I can eat black licorice though, salt licorice I literally can't force myself to eat.

Aw, I like oatmeal, especially in stout form :D How about we just make them controlled substances?

You're not? :( :p

Speaking of lambs, I had my monthly checkup today. The little one is doing fine, and has a nice steady heartbeat. Next week we go to the specialist for pictures! :)

Yay!! :)

And add me in to the pro-black licorice category. And now I want jelly beans. Not cool.

Hehehe....BJs. There's one of those in my hometown. Which I find even more amusing because apparently the only legal position in Maryland is missionary. (queue the "you more you know" theme)

Has wT been in here yet?? Wanted to express my sympathies on her team's loss last night. It was such a great game it was a shame someone had to lose. And I feel bad that there were Hockey East refs there to get involved.
I'm here now. Got home a bit before 3 am. Thanks for the kind words. It was an awesome game and I haven't heard a single real Michigan fan disappointed with the way the team played. Their effort was amazing. I relearned that bonus hockey is much more fun when I don't care who wins.

I have a question for you and any other Hockey East fans that care to comment... what is the speed of play for most HE games? My friends and I noticed for both the Bemidji and Miami games that it almost seemed the refs couldn't keep up with the play. They seemed out of position a lot which my biased opinion believe led to poor calls.

Premature whistles being what they are (part of the game that goes against every team at some point)...I think one of the more frustrating things for me were the times where a player got back on a breakaway, made a great move and played the puck but would be called for tripping or some other crap. It was heart-wrenching for me to watch a player make that kind of effort and a great play to be rewarded with a penalty.

Anyway, sorry for the hockey talk in the lodge.

Winger, it was nice meeting you. Sorry my friend spilled ketchup on you. I think he just wanted you to lose the pants.

I'm not sure if there is a speed difference, hard to tell from the TV when you can only see what the camera wants. I can tell you HE refs suck, especially Bunyon

THis yr it seemed like there were a few ref pairs that couldn't get out of their own way. Lots of puck hitting them as it tried to go in or out of the zone- way more than I ever remember before~positional errors.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Yay! My first encounter with hokydad! He really is right up there with Billy and UMICH!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 107: Now What??

Got some gray rep from Hokydad:

I had posted in the BC thread because he posted there and I said that RIT should get stuck with him for these two weeks because they're FF n00bs. Heh.
Because when I think of someone who runs their mouth in any and all threads...I think Scarlet...
Psst.

Hey.

Those weren't jelly beans.
That's not a nice thing to say about Painted Bandit.

I'll take it after the day I just had.

I'll keep it short and say I've never been as ****ed off about gettin lead on and not getting laid then I am about work right now. I fired off a friendly little email to my boss and forwarded it to HR and our store manager about the complete lack of respect and professionalism that has been shown to me by a particular executive. I'm probably one of the last people in the store to complain about him. He's the laziest, most self centered, ***hole I've ever worked for and needs to get fired soon.
