Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Good morning. No snow in March? I fear for April. :)

When I go down for a cup of coffee why do I always get in line behind a purse digger? "That will be $1.68" So this dumb broad decides to dig in the bottom of her purse (which is the size of Vermont) for the exact amount.....in loose change.
"Here, let me help you" {crowns the moron with my travel mug). :D

Solution: take command of the coffeemaker at work, and make sure you only buy beans that you like. That way, the dumb broads HAVE to defer to you. ;)

Morning, Lodge. Heading up to Ho-ton this weekend, but I'm sure we'll be able to watch at least a little NCAA hockey.

Pssst. Seattle's Best is still Starbucks. ;)

I'd hazard a guess that at that price he stopped at Holiday, Kwik Trip, or some other local gas station.

Did she have a bunch of bananas in her purse? If so she is probably one of my coworkers. ;)

She could have had a dam banana tree in her purse.

The coffee maker deal in my area is a clutterbuck. I usually bring in a thermos but didn't have time this morning. Plus, they have a buy ten get one free dealio going but it's only through the end of March. I needed two more punches for a free cup and I won't be here Mon-Tues....I WILL NOT BE DENIED!! :D

It actually is Starbucks, they brew it in the cafe here at tacky and abrasive. I think she was getting oatmeal -not sure why she didn't have that in her purse. :D

Two more punches, eh? Just a hunch here, but I'm sure there are several LODGE members who'd be willing to knock the crap outta ya for a free cuppa coffee. Hey, we'll punch ya as often and hard as ya like. You can be a punching bag just like the Golden Golfers were during the season for all their WCHA opponents. :D

Does a free Danish come with that cuppa coffee after I'm done wiping the floor with ya?;)

Sorry, things were coming to blows with me and my family. We've reached detente--far from resolved, but a temporary cease fire. I for one am 3 seconds from cutting them all out.
You can be part of my family too... I've always wanted a sister!

Has she never heard of using her debit/credit card?

Even at Starbucks, I can get coffee for less than than $1.68.

At that price, I could have an all-day mug from Wesco and still have enough left over for tomorrow.

Morning, Lodge. Looking forward to a quick trip to the grocery store, followed by hockey this afternoon! :)

Five minutes before you posted this? You disappoint me. :D

One of my best friends from high school is now an engineer at "tacky and abrasive", he works out at the location east of St. Paul.

Not all of their WCHA opponents. :(

and

mmmmmm, Danish :D ;)

She must be Brent's long lost sister.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Ohhhhhhh, Lamar is angry. :p :D ;)

Hey, how's your wife doing? So sad about her/your friend. :(

Much better. Thanks for asking GE. The rosary is on Sunday night and the funeral on Monday morning. My wife always gets a sense of peace for the departed when she/we attend these services. We've also arranged our schedules to get out of town for several days next week for some spring skiing in Breckenridge and Vail. Believe me, the time up in the mountains will be a great relief.

He's probably somewhere near the ivory tower - or will be soon. The east side location has been vacated & is for sale.

Hmmm, I didn't know that. I'll have to ask him if he's had to move locations. I know for a while he was worried that he would get the ax, but it turned out that enough people in his department took optional early retirement, so he kept his job.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

ex-Redskins? ;)

Odd coincidence, my youngest cousin (only 9 years, 3 months older than me) went to school there.

The Indians.
Yep, IUP used to be the Indians. Then they had the bright idea to change it to Crimsom Hawk over the brillian suggestion of becoming the Fighting Amish. Come on, can anybody here tell me that Amish wouldn't have been cooler than just a bloody red bird?? Then right after they announced it and all, somebody at the student paper I think did a google search for Crimson Hawk, and well, comebody else had been using that as the name of this cartoon superhero pornstar. For those of you that like the bondage in Wonder Woman, you'll love Crimson Hawk. ;)

S'upp y'all

yes, IUP were Indians. They compete vs the vulcans of CUP! I participate in a golf tourney every June at Indiana CC... Good folks there.
Clearly you've nevered argued with a full fledge IUP Grad. Some of them can be some real nimrods.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Assuming we get no accumulation this weekend, it will be the first time since record keeping began in the Twin Cities that we've had no measurable snow in March.

At my house we've had maybe an inch total since the end of January. Last night maybe a 1/2 inch. Caribou Maine broke the record for warmest average temps in a winter by 3 degrees:eek: The record was 20.?, this winter it was 23.?. I could get used to La Nina winters:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Drive by post from Atlanta. Decent weather down here. But it was nearly the same at home.

I am feeling cultured. Today is a museum and tonight is the theatre.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

So you would have fit in well with them, eh? :p

Think of some of the Morons over here, and realize that about half of them are below average for being a moron. Then, take the half of the morons that are below average, divide them in half. That would get you to about the level of some of the IUP Grads that I've locked horns with. Or, for the most part, I make sniping insults towards when they're really fired up about something and going after somebody else. ;) :D

CC to ASaaG: I think I have to cheer for RIT today. I always liked their clothes dye. Used to use it for tie-dye t-shirts back in the old days.

Actually I just found out that a friend we sit near at some Gopher games is the aunt of a RIT player. So we have to cheer for him. Also, my son's coach this past season is a RIT alum. If the Pie-in-ears beat the Tiggers, I'll get behind them in the next round.
