Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Did I do something to **** you off? And I already have a little brother so no worries on your end.
Nah, just messing around. I mostly was trying to say that I'm glad I don't have a big sister, I like being the oldest. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I'm the oldest of 2 by 17 months. It's pretty good, except once my parents figured out I was a good kid after the stupid rules they placed on me while I was going through my mid-teens, they relaxed for my sister. Not that she was/is a crazy child, but it still made me mad.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Have a younger brother (2 years younger). He rules.

mine is also 2 yrs younger (2.5, but hey)... he is the negotiator for the state cops back home. his job is to be on call for a week, then week off. he drive to wherever they have a nut job holed up and gets on the phone and tells the perp to come out peacefully so the snipers don't have to blow any heads off and make a mess. he says this with a dead straight face too. rather amusing.:D :D

As the youngest of five, I was given a lot of slack. Plus, I could hide behind the failings of my older brothers when the moment suited. Example: Dr. Holiday (Prefect of Discipline) looks at me as I was sent to his office for a detention assignment, "You're a [insert awesome name here]? Are you related to Kurt? [I answer to the affirmative, that he's my brother.] And you were sent here for this? [I nod a yes.] You can leave."

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

'diva - I think you're younger than me (your birth year isn't listed on facebook) and you're more than welcome to join my family. You'd be the second oldest of 4 (I have two younger sibs). One's an artist (sister, 4 years younger than me)(photography and painting) and one's a genius (brother- 8 years younger than me)(anxiously awaiting Ivy acceptance), so there's always interesting conversation. One parent is a closet-Republican-hippie (it's a long story) and the other is just more straightedge, but awesome. Family likes to travel, so you're guaranteed at least one, if not 2 trips to Florida every year, plus vacations elsewhere. And their house is on a lake (of course, it's in the middle of nowhere in backwoods Pennsylvania) and they have a black lab. As long as I don't have a problem with your S.O., we'll get along fine. Oh, and they all will watch hockey when prompted (I can even get them to S-WB Penguins - local AHL team - games when I'm home).

I have a little sister. She is now engaged. Back off. If you liked it you should have put a ring on it.

(And of course, now I get to blow two grand or so to fly home from Alaska for the wedding. And my family wonders why I slept on the floor in Cheyenne.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

technically, any female younger than you is young enough to be your little sister.;)
Please explain, mooks, how a girl 3 months younger than you could be your little sister. (full sister, not half, or step or any of that BS)

My sister is 3 years younger than me, and she is definitely thought of as an angel, even though she's probably worse than me. Too bad I don't really care, she can be the good kid, being the failure child has worked out quite well for me so far.

$2k for a single round trip ticket? That seems high. Next time, don't buy it the day before the flight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I have 5 brothers and 1 sister. All younger than me. I'll give them away to Lodge members. Except I get to keep my 10 year old brother cuz he's awesome.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I personally like being an only child. Means I get everything when my parents die! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

I'll get the good stuff since I was the first born son!

And I didn't get away with anything. I had to manipulate the system. My bro? Got away with tons.

All the money in my family(basically the farm, since all family equity is wrapped up in that) is still my grandpa's. So my dad and aunt will split that, then its down to grandkids. Luckily, I'm a long way (hopefully :o ) away from having to deal with that stuff.

Though this brings up a topic that my mom brought up again a couple weeks ago...what am I going to do when my dad retires from farming? They desperately want me to take over the farm, since it has been in the family for generations, and I'm the only one left. I went to school so I didn't have to farm. This decision really sucks, because either I hurt my entire family or I do something I don't really want to for the rest of my life. :(

I, too, was thought of as the angel. Then again, I actually was compared to three of my four brothers - the fourth is debatable; he got into trouble with the others, but likely just dragged into it.
