Jesus is my co-pilot... He'll also make runs into the convience store when I refuel.
I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, "You know you always have theLord by your side"
And I was so pleased to be informed of this that I ranTwenty red lights in his honor
Thank you Jesus, thank you lord
Morning Lodge.
GE, I made it up to the club for the second game yesterday, but sat in like C10 with a buddy. Sat in lower level for first game - at least second period on. Made a dumb decision and tried to find parking near the X at 11:05 AM. Finally went closer to downtown and found a ramp then walked back (should have done that first ). Picked up three tickets for tonight's games from a scalper as I left yesterday. Crappy seats, but we'll try to move. It'd be funny if this Edina team took it after failing for three years with all the studs they had.
You probably know this, I saw there was a Taft on the SW team who beat Edina in '70, is that his kid on this year's Edina team?
ETA: I think this Edina team is better at throwing pucks at net and then crashing to move the pile than Blaine is. More grinders than slick skill players.
Good morning Lodge.
Oh my gawd, you're a Tommie? The segment during the last intermission they did on Mpls/SP city schools in the tourney featured my HS teams jersey. I was excited since they rarely have ever gone.
I think the last time was 94 or 95 and they gave up like 10 goals to Hermantown or something.
Edit: It was 1994. Hibbing 8, Edison 3 in the QF. They then went on to win the Consolation Final that year. Beating Breck 4-1, and Hermantown 6-3.
Morning, Lodge. No particular horse in the MN HS hockey tournament anymore, but I'm not sure if I can bring myself to root for cake-eaters.
Sooo, in class AA you're left with . . . nothin? I guess you could say AV, but they have a few nice modest $.5 M home down there too. I'd say they're the closest thing to non-cake-eater and an underdog too, so there's your pick. 'Course after the first game tonight, they'll be done, then you got Hornets, Skippers and Pie-in-ears. No blue collars in the bunch.
The Boss & I are going tonight, I'm hoping for some OT just because it will drive her nuts (and I'm a stinker).
Bruce Springsteen is going to a high school hockey game with you?
In NH you only needed to be 18 to serve and it used to be that you only needed to be 15 or 16 to ring it up in the grocery store. Though I think that has changed. One my recent trips home, I was buying some beer and the cashier had to call her manager over to ring up the beer. I hate holding up the rest of the people in line, so this was a bit embarrassing for me.You can get a bartending license in MN at 18. One of my SCSU roommates did it on weekends.
ETA: In Iowa City you can enter a bar at 19, according to another one of my buddies who went there.
That's the way it should be.From what I understand, there's a law (or perhaps just an unwritten "rule") in WI that if you are 18 and at a restaurant and/or bar with your parents, you can drink if they say it's OK. Heard that from a guy I knew who was from WI, so read into that what you will.
