Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

My hatred has subsided slightly, very slightly. I went back to my room, retrieved my computer, and now am streaming the state tourney while drinking at the bar. :D

Nerd.

How's the paint thinner?

Well done. The fact you are watching hockey and probably drinking whiskey mostly negates the "nerd" factor in my book.

Streaming video at a bar is rather nerdy, though. Only the fact that it is in WI, so no females would be worth looking at, saves him from the nerdiness factor.

If the females aren't worth looking at, he can always wear a blindfold and have them blow him while he imagines they're hotter.

Both are true.

Also true. The only decent looking one here is serving me my whiskey.

Well, can't say this is a bad idea.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I thought you only had to be 18 to sell alcohol, but I'm sure it varies by state, just like the consumption age.

MN is 18, I believe. But this is WI, where there really is no drinking age, despite what the law says. ;)

And she said, "Of course they have [good] sports. I married you, didn't I?":p

Ba-DUM-bum! :D

I thought it was the tube snake boogie...
You'd have to give her a pearl necklace though.

Had a little ZZ vibe going on there, I saw it!

Don't go to bed at 2 with a 10 and wake up at 10 with a 2.

And now, thanks to that line, I've got coffee all over the desk.

I try. :D

Isn't pretty much every state 21 to drink due to the feds tying it to highway funding?

Yes. And I bet the rumor is STILL going around the colleges that WI is considering lowering the drinking age back to 18/19 figuring that the profits would make up the lack of highway funding. That rumor is at least 20 years old.

You can get a bartending license in MN at 18. One of my SCSU roommates did it on weekends.

ETA: In Iowa City you can enter a bar at 19, according to another one of my buddies who went there.

That is correct. My first bar experience was on a road trip to IA, and even though I was 18, I snuck in before they started carding.

Edit: all of IA has that limit.
