Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

Would anyone happen to know why a BC Eagles fan would tell me that the CCHA was being "Elitists" by not admitting UAH? Moreso, why the counter-points of just why the CCHA didn't accept them are invalid?

 :D

Part of me wants to continue irking him by posting in the thread, the rest of me doesn't want to drag the actual supporters into that mess by bringing the topic back from page 2.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

BO is much worse.

Agreed. We had a temp a few years ago that didn't apparently use deoderant. He said his sense of smell was gone, so I guess that meant that he didn't need to make sure that the rest of us were protected from his armpit stink among other things. He wound up with the nickname "Speed Stick".

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

My office building has an excess of guys on both ends of that spectrum. I'm not sure which is worse - the guys with too much cologne or the guys who just reek of BO when getting on/off the elevator.

They are usually related issues....I blame French. :)

I'm starting to wonder whether my next vehicle should be an F-350 so that I can start running the idiots of this world over.

Morning Lodge

I'm a bit tired, but still made it to work on time. Went out last night with with brent, MNS, Dirty, GLM, BPH and Shirtless Guy, we had some fun. Went to Matt's for Juicy's then went downtown to The Shout House (dueling piano bar), they were having '80s night, which was quite fun. I was driving, so no drinking for me, but I'm still wishing I could have slept in.

yeah, I know. I'm just making fun of North Dakota people who decide to build in flood plains. Have to get in tune for the final 5, there is sure to be many sioux fans out and about.

Not trying to make you jealous, but I wish I hadn't slept in as long as I did - just woke up a little while ago, and I hardly drank last night. :o I have a lot of shyte to finish today too. :(

Good plan.

Morning, Lodge.

May I suggest investing in a cow-catcher for your new F-350? :D

You won't regret sleeping in when you're feeling great at midnight and I'm ready to fall asleep. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I forgot to mention. Apparently the parking ramp in downtown Minneapolis, right next to Fogo de Chao wasn't made quite tall enough to accomodate 2008 Dodge Ram 2500's. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

There is a guy here I swear bathes in cologne. He walks by and the smell lingers for several minutes and it permeates from his office. Ug....step away from the bottle.

There's a corporate policy here where I work that employees with "overwhelming or offensive" odors are notified by HR to correct the issue or further action may be taken. It seems to be working, as I haven't noticed anyone's aroma to be a problem in some time.

When I was a factory supervisor in the early '80's, I had an employee who had really bad body odor. You could tell when he came in that he had recently showered since he was clean shaven and his hair was still wet. About an hour later he just reeked. I had so many complaints that no one on the shift wanted to work with him, although everyone agreed he was an excellent worker and a good person.
Long story short, turns out he had a gland issue that was corrected with medication.

Did you ding up the truck??

Luckily no, I knew I was close driving through the first level, and going into the ramp to get to the second level there was a sign that said "low clearance". I had Shirtless Guy get out and watch as I went slowly, I definitely would have ripped off my clearance lights and scraped up the roof. So I had to turnaround and go back out the way I came in.

Good!

When I had my 2005 2500HD I was nervous going into some of the older ramps in both downtowns. never had to back out, luckily

In an unrelated note, I received gray rep from hokydad for this post. His rep simply said "cool"

Yeah, I was lucky that I was paying attention. I should figure out exactly how tall it is so I know before I go into one of those.

I got the exact same rep from him for my post about going to the shout house.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

Yeah, I'd measure the height on your truck before you ride around too much more.

I'll stick to the ramps that I know I can fit in. All of the new ones by the arenas/stadiums in both Minneapolis and St. Paul are plenty tall enough, those are usually the only ones I park in. This seriously kills my plans to put in a couple inches of lift and get 35's.
