Filling in forms to get registered in three more states. I hate trying to write up all my work history for the past 30 years onto a couple pages.

Just write "To the best of my knowledge in the past 30 some years nothing has fallen down." :D

Hey Goldy, Registered as what? A republican? A sex offender? A trans-gendered Bemidji fan [see gmann for this one]. But seriously, aint paperwork fun on a Friday?;)

Ha!

There are 60 1st graders from area schools touring the paper mill today. They're completely jacked over being handed safety glasses and ear plugs :D

Not up to your standards. If I was looking for those kinds of registrations, I'd be sure to come to you for advice. :p I'm just another en-gin-ear.

GE: They don't worry about my stuff falling down so much as asphyxiating people, freezing them, cooking them or failing to put out the fire when needed. Un-funny story - when I worked for the U, a bunch of birds and animals got cooked in a new building in the vet school in St. Paul. Turns out the building had not been checked out and connected to our monitoring system yet and some yahoo moved the critters in early. Heating systems in this climate are designed to fail to full output so when something (an air compressor) quit over the weekend, everything got real hot.:( Had they waited until we were connected we would have gotten an alarm and sent a tech out to fix it.

Good luck with the paperwork and to your team when it plays the Wisconsins this weekend. :)

This made me laugh. The DC City Council passed a resolution http://www.jdland.com/dc/files/100303_winterclassic_sense.pdf stating that they feell that the 2011 NHL Winter Classic should be played in DC. One of the reasons is "This winter shows that the District of Columbia has a winter climate that compares with any city of the Northeast." I guess they didn't say that it compares favorably with any city in the Northeast. Sure it did this year, but it could also be 50 degrees on on New Year's Day.

You may have to load the PDF file twice. I don't know why.

Good Morning. I'm "working" from the hotel room. Then this afternoon I have appointments at UND.

Brent says "**** Grand Forks."

Ralph, I'm not sure that Boston is that much colder on New Year's Day than DC. Yes, it has the potential to be much colder, but it's been 50 degrees at that time of year as well.

Now if Raleigh or Charlotte was petitioning to host the Winter Classic, that would definitely be too much!

I wonder if Twitch got salmonella from his hot dog hat:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100305/ts_nm/us_salmonella_usa_flavoring
"...food made with a common flavoring that could be contaminated with salmonella bacteria...

The flavoring --hydrolyzed vegetable protein-- is used in soups, sauces, hot dogs, snack foods, dressings and dips...

Twitch, I hope you get better soon.

Denver's last home loss came on November 28, 2009 when the Pioneers were defeated by Saint Cloud, 3-2. Since that time Denver has played ten home games and posted a record of 8-0-2 in those games. The Pioneers have outscored the opposition by an aggregate score of 41-18.

In those ten games Denver has posted one shutout [Neb-O] and held four other teams to one goal apiece.

In seven of those ten games Denver has scored four or more goals and posted a record of 7-0-1 [4-4 tie vs/CC] in those contests. In short, since Thanksgiving Weekend when playing at home, Denver has received solid goaltending from Marc Cheverie, scoring production, in particular, from its top two lines and sound defensive play on the blueline and from backchecking forwards and centers.

It will be interesting to see how the Pioneers play this weekend against CC--a team against which it has had only limited success in the recent past.

I hope you get to see your favorite team in action this weekend. It will be a late night for The Shots as we're heading to ski country for three days after the end of the game. :)
