Hoven must be trashed. He just sent me a text saying "nice win." We lost 7-4. :p

Evening, Lodge. Had a free ticket to see "The Importance of Being Earnest" tonight; it was a great performance. Feels good to get out of the house every once in a while...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 103: The Greatest Rep... to this point.

Not a "hockey masterpiece" this evening, but a much needed 5-3 win by the Pioneers as they swept Tech. It's nice to see the team's offense assert itself as in the last three games DU has scored five goals in each contest and a total of fifteen.

I hope defenseman Chris Nutini, who suffered an ankle injury late in the second period and did not return for the third period, is able to play next weekend on the road in Mankato.

I'm looking forward to the USA-Canada game tomorrow from Vancouver. G'nite all.:)

**** hockey. Seriously, you would think that a team that has a great chance to snag the 4th spot and a 1st round bye would play some motivated hockey down the stretch? Nope, not this team. 3 straight weekends of pretty **** poor hockey. They need 4 points next weekend and Cornell and Union to bail them out.

Oh, and we possibly lost a great kid and strong player because he left tonight early to go to the hospital to get checked out. He was spitting up blood, but thats all we know at this point.

At least you haven't clinched last.

So let's see if I understand this. Du scored 5 goals in a game, 5 goals in the next game and then 5 goals in a third game. So does that mean that they scored 15 goals total? Is that 5x3=15? Or is that 5+5+5=15? It appears there is math involved. :p

Your offense asserted itself against Minnesota and Tech. Yeah! ;)

I guess we'll be back next month... :o

When did you become a Michigan fan?

As far as the midwest/western teams go, Michigan is actually a team I like compared to the others. However I have no clue whats going on in the midwest/west this year, haven't been paying attention.

What I quoted is pretty much exactly what's happening to Michigan right now. A few straight weekends of "must win" games to get a lock on 4th place and a first round bye, and each weekend they sputter and do just enough to keep 4th place within reach. Even with just one weekend left, having a first round bye and going on the road in the first round are both very real possibilities (edit: the late result out of Alaska just made us dropping all the way to 9th **** near impossible).

SLU can finish anywhere from 4-8, meaning they will either host the 2nd round, or the 1st round. We've got the easiest remaining games on paper, however they are really stumbling into the playoffs, and no game in the ECAC is easy: see #2 Cornell losing to #11 Dartmouth tonight, and #1 Yale going to OT against #12 Clarkson.

Good mornin' to tLodge! ;)

Yeah, it's early on a Sunday... unfortunately, I have to go into work for a few hours this morning against my better judgement.

What about a team that was #4 going into a matchup with #7 Yale back on December 4th and has done almost nothing since? Sure, we've been close and played well at times, but where's the results? So much potential, so much disappointment. It's so depressing. :( :o
