Just set up the recording for Olympics coverage tomorrow. Had a tough choice between Biathlon 3-5 EST and US Curling/Puck from 12-6. I might record curling, stop it at 3 and switch recording to Biathlon before working 4-6. ****ed I have to miss the US men's hockey game.

I get the standard ones (NYE, Xmas, Memorial Day, etc) and that's it. Open normal hours on the second-class holidays like Xmas Eve, day after Thanksgiving, etc, although it's a skeleton crew.

No kidding. This is where my TV card only being able to record 1 channel is suckkkkkkkyyyyyy. And it also sucks that neither the hockey game or biathlon is being show again after-hours.

question at you guys... I assume you're using the computer to record these things... is it a direct line from your wall to your computer or is a splitter effective?

I'm wondering because I'm toying around with the idea of slipping a computer into my TV set up but I'm not sure how I'd do it or if its reasonably logical given the feeds into the router and the reciever.

No computer, we just use the built-in Dish Network DVR.

i have a dvr with my set up... but its something I've been thinking about since I finished my taxes. I realized that I could plausibly edit videos and hypothetically do other computer stuff on the big screen such as streaming hockey games or various other things... youtube videos, Top Gear episodes, whatever.

It'd take my sweet but normal and not unheard of setup and make it super awesome.

I've got 1 line out of the wall to a splitter- one line to the TV, one to my computer/TV card. Works pretty well, as I can watch one thing and record another if I wish.

Yeah, I think I'd be looking at splitting the splitter... I'm not sure if that makes practical sense... or else I'd have to run a line out of my bedroom.

That's how it was at Sam's Club too; not quite sure how it works with this new company yet.

Evening, Lodge. Rotini with salsa di limone for dinner tonight... very good. Learning that I'm having carpal tunnel surgery on May 10... not so much. At least I scheduled it for after the d-mn River Bank...

Big wins for both of my broomball teams tonight. Going to playoffs for sure with the FantASTics and finally learned how to tip the ball up. Playoffs are a maybe for the BA!luga Knights.

Rough day otherwise though, with an exam tomorrow, not feeling well, and not really getting along with anyone who matters. :/

meh. Boy is a racecar driver and loves racing, even if he's not big on Nascar. He was mostly watching and cheering for Ford as they were using his company's software.

It's ok though, I'm turning him into a hockey fan while he is trying to turn me into a racing fan.

Racecar driver and I got tattoos yesterday. The kiddie, sticker sized temporary tatoo kind. I bought him a pack of Cars valentines and they came with those. I've got Lightning McQueen on me now.

I was too impatient to order online, and my other attempts at stores were thwarted by idiot salespeople that tend to pay no attention to me.

I realize I look like a teenage girl and dress like a cheap b*stard, but that doesn't mean I won't be spending a bunch of money in your store. (I've learned that I often need to take a male friend with me when I go furniture shopping or car shopping to get any kind of attention....it's frustrating as *)

Today in Clinic, we had a cliend come in and I swear she could have been your twin sister Trumpet. Had the same build, look and fashion sense as well. I was over by the table studying for our semester one finals that are next week and I all but blurted out Trumpet.

So, my best friend all of a sudden just went uber ***** on me, told me I'm extremely ungrateful (because I don't drive, I hitched a ride with her from Calumet to campus & back a lot last semester), and so on and so forth. In reality, I gave her more than $150 in gas money last semester (for a drive which she had to go .5 miles out of her way each day to pick me up), and I gave her my biology book & lab manual this semester which I could have sold for $90+. Looks like I don't have a best friend anymore.

What did she do or accuse you of doing??
