Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

They should actually let Pamela Anderson light the torch. Honestly, is there a more recognizable Canadian?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Marc Cheverie kept his team in the game through the first two periods when Denver was somewhere between unimpressive and outplayed. Then in the third period the Pioneers got goals from all three players on their top line: Tyler Ruegsegger, Joe Colborne and Rhett Rakhshani.

Ruegsegger's goal was an absolute thing of beauty as he took a pass from John Lee in the neutral zone, sped down the left wing boards, cut hard to the net and roofed a shot over Alex Kangas left shoulder. Positively an "I-will-not-be-denied" kind of goal in the first minute of the third period. Denver is now 8-1-1 in its last ten games versus the Gophers.

Cheverie came within a minute and a half of shutting out the Gophers for the fourth straight time. Terrific third period by Denver as it won the game 3-1. Looking forward to seeing if Denver can post a combined 8-0 regular season record versus the Sioux and Gophers with a win on Saturday night against Minnesota.

Helluva game, Shot. Congrats to your team, and also, kudos to your fanbase in being gracious with their win.

I hope payback will be in style tomorrow night, though. ;)
