Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

(note: mock anger post ahead  :p )

I'm feeling a lot of hate from you these days, wT. What's up with that? First with the Colts, now with the whole state. What gives? Is it the drive around Gary? 'Cause that's an anomaly. It'd be like me driving US50 / New York Ave out of DC to get to Baltimore, and saying afterwards how terrible Maryland is. (Which I've done.) What'd Indiana ever do to you? Is it Michael Jackson? Axl Rose? Jim Davis? 'Cause we also gave you James Dean, Kurt Vonnegut and Orville Redenbacher. That's gotta be worth something.

It was the drive. The weather was bad only the 15 miles in MI near the lake, and Indiana. It was completely drivable, but 3 different places in IN there were accidents. And Gary smells bad. And the last time I was in Indianapolis I could only find 1 place serving food after 10 pm (when I got out of my obligations in town). Oh, and the waitresses at the Hooters were ugly.

And I still hate the colts.

Sorry Dave.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

I want a new ring tone and I've got some extra time
Got it.

If we get the snow that we are supposed to get starting late Tuesday, we might get the whole week off. That has never happened at least since I lived here.

I rode the Metro Green Line from Waterfront to Gallery Place for lunch. It wasn't bad downtown since there was little traffic, but the streets were at least a lane narrower than they should be.

I haven't gone anywhere in this storm... I haven't felt like it whatsoever... that and I don't like playing the "are they open" game. I really need to get around the city... I've been so bad this go around.

I know... I'm not really one to go out to restaurants on my own... as solitary as I am I'm more of a group type of person. Maybe if i crawl out of bed before 10 tomorrow I'll do something.

edit: you know what, I think i'll swing on down to Rosslyn and play some pool... haven't done that in awhile.

I have both. :) (I think heat is also required and some would add alcohol.)

Heat, electricity, food, and yes, booze. Although if I had friends that were snowed in with me (say, a major snowstorm after a hockey together) I could get by without electricity. I'd finally use my fireplace for light and we'd play cards/gamble. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Is booze considered "food" these days in Mpls?

Booze is in the food category. I think I would need a bit of actual food as well though. :p

I realize I am not much of a people person, so being stuck with someone else for too long would not be fun (yes, even if it was a hot chick). I like people in small doses. :D

Move to the UP. All the girls there are small doses. Although after being with some of them, you'll need a different type of a small dose.
