Yikes! I just killed the biggest moth i've ever seen in person.

Another use for a swiffer sweeper. Kill moths that land high on your wall. :D

I know that feeling. Due to my vaulted ceilings, a hockey stick + towel works wonders. :)

He didn't say anything about trying to hock RVs or feeling inferior to Chicagoland.

Evening, Lodge. Got to bring our visitors down to the bathroom for a delightful little tornado warning this afternoon. On the plus side, I went to Buca di Beppo later, and ate juuuuuuust enough food to be happily full.

I keep hearing this severe storm/tornado stuff. Was it really isolated? It was like stereotypical Seattle around my place/workplace all day.

South Minneapolis got hit, knocked down a lot of trees along Portland Ave. Evidently there was one the went up highway 61 for a few miles south of the Metro as well. A church steeple was knocked over as well, into a building that used to be Vocational High School, where my dad went.

Also, on the subject of moths. When I was 17, I was bike riding all over the place up in Northern MN and a moths flew into my eye. It watered and itched and burned, but it went away. I woke up the next morning not able to see out of that eye. Went to the bathroom, and there was this dead moth stuck underneath my eyelids. That was sweet.

It rained all day at work (oh, and apparently we're not allowed to smoke near the entrances...the only place with an overhang) and I heard a little thunder, but no sirens here in SLP...

Maine plays SCSU on Sept 3. :D
Interesting, I didn't realize St. Cloud was playing Maine this year.

I'm starting to get kinda bummed out here. I really wanted to go to another game in Texas, which is on a Thursday night, but I'm not having any luck in finding anybody else to go with me to it. I do got an offer to catch a ride with a couple of people I know in KC, but paying for the gas from Clinton to KC and back myself is going to really wreck my budget. :(

Eh, worse comes to worse, that game will be on TV though. And I know I can find a ride for GVSU's game there on Saturday. :)

Long time no talk, lodge.

Just got back from Maine this last night, awesome trip, and I think we did our part to bolster the economy of downeast Maine (Kittery/Freeport not so much, but the seafood restaurants got some good business). The weather was pretty much perfect, maybe 5-10 degrees too warm at times, but you can't complain much either.

Got new skis for this winter, along with a semi-matching ski jacket since my stuff was getting old, pretty excited for the snow to start falling now. The stores in Kittery are having some of the best sales I've seen in my times going up there, for anybody in the northeast. Also made a very productive, and necessary stop at NH Discount Liquor.

Time to get some sleep, playing 18 with a couple friends tomorrow at noon.
