Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

When I visted DC I always ate at the Capial Grille. One of my favorite places to dine anywhere. I cannot remember the name of the place but I always stayed at the hotel which has the lounge on the top floor which rotates.....

The Capital Grille is a bit more expensive than 5 Guys. :D

Can't help with the name of the hotel.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

ttp related question:

Is there going to be a ttp for Baby Jesus when he hits .400 this season? since there isn't anything else Twins related to celebrate...

No. By the time I get things organized for a ttp for one of the greatest players to ever play the game by having one of the best seasons in baseball history all while playing one of the toughest positions day in and day out by potentially hitting .400, 30 HR, 100 RBI's, AL batting champ, getting a golden glove, winning the triple crown and MVP he will be wearing pin stripes. If you know what I mean.

Anyways, by the time of the ttp you will be married and will have no time for fun things. ;)

Sadly, this might be true. :(
Except the triple crown...don't think that will happen...this year

This on the other hand, is not true:p

It might be a good thing if he leaves town as our pitching would fix itself over night. Pitching to Baby Jesus has to be difficult, what if by chance one of those pitches injured the son of God? Think about it. :p ;) :D

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

My weekend as a bachelor might be in jeopardy for this upcoming weekend. Mrs. g sprained her ankle yesterday and now she might have to postpone her out of town trip.

You warned her about rough housing with the kids. Karma's a *****

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Memory fart/dead brain cells on the name of the Irish pub (Facebook to the rescue: The Dubliner)

Seconded on Lauriol Plaza - good lord their food was awesome.

I think the burger joint is 5 Guys, no?

Best of luck today, Patman! Knock 'em dead -- or, you know, whatever the academic equivalent is.

The Brickskeller is the place that advertises the largest selection of beers http://www.lovethebeer.com/brickskeller.html. This might be the Irish pub that you are referring to http://www.dublinerdc.com/.

5 Guys?

Edit: Ewe posted first.

Yes on all of the above.

And, I agree on the Capital Grille - nice place. Good food and a nice atmosphere. I didn't list it though, as it's not one of those places I'd list as "awesome".

Is that the place we went the first night of the FF in DC near Union Station and the Postal Museum?

We went to the Capital Grille when in DC, and it was about a block away from the National Archives on the corner of Pennsylvania and 6th St. NW. Are we thinking of the same place? I didn't think it was by Union Station.

You are correct -- we went to the Capital City brewing company, which is near the Capitol and the Postal Museum. Stupid Capital and it's Capital-y named things. :p
