Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Can someone explain what "In a row?" in the title of this thread has to do with the poll (pole) ?

It has nothing to do with the poll, which is what makes it suck so much.

Which is also why the Hammer option is getting most of the votes. ;)

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Good morning, Lodge.

Good news/bad news:
Good news - I just found out yesterday that I am getting promoted!
Bad news - Due to my work schedule, I am unable to have a beer until Thursday night.

So I am counting on all of you. Nunc est bibendum (Now we must drink.)

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Eighty-one is the square of 9 and the fourth power of 3. Like all powers of three, 81 is a perfect totient number. It is a heptagonal number and a centered octagonal number. It is also a tribonacci number, and an open meandric number. 81 is the ninth member of the Mian-Chowla sequence.

The inverse of 81 is 0.012345679 recurring, tantalisingly close to being a repeating set of all the digits 0-9 successively. The full sequence is reserved for the significantly more cumbersome fraction 13,717,421/1,111,111,111.

I love the internets.

Which reminds me to ask: How does one make a hyperlink read as different text yet still remain a hyperlink? For example, if I wanted to make this link read "For Math Nerds Only", how would I do it?

Happy Birthday, hockeyplayer1015! 21's a good one.

I rarely due it, but the simplest way is to type the words and highlight them. With the words highlighted press the link button, which is the 6th from the right in the second row above, and enter the URL.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Congratulations WTW. Quote someone who has done this. I can never remember how to do it, but that works for me. ;)

I survived "hockey" last night. As a level 1 group we are really bad and I'm one of the worst (even worse than I thought I'd be). I blame really bad ice for part of it. This arena has no control of the humidity and when the dewpoints get up there the ice gets reeaaaallllllyyyyy soft. Hard to skate, tires you out, gets real rutted real fast making it even worse for those of us a little uncertain on our skates. Also scheduled for too long 1-1/2 hours of 4 on 4 and 3 on 3 on a small sheet was too much for most of us. On an up note, I can walk without a limp and even bend over and stuff. :)

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Good morning Lodge.

I've been awake since 3:30 and for no reason. Stupid inability to sleep. I've been in the States for a week, I should be back to a normal sleeping pattern.

But at least one super awesome thing came out of my trip to China. :) Frequent flyer miles! And 5,000 mile bonuses for using the direct Detroit to Shanghai flight (so glad I signed up for that). With the bonuses I had just enough miles this morning to book my flight to Anchorage in October for a grand total of $10. :D  :) !!!!

Is it hockey season yet?

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

I finally got the nerve to make an appointment to see the dentist and he can see me at 10 AM.

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

I was awake at 5:15 this morning. Stayed in bed until about 5:45 when my eyes shot wide open because I remembered I had bread sitting out on the counter. (Frozen dough; put it out at 7 last night. Checked it around 9, still frozen; forgot about it.) It was quite poofy... again. (Did it last time I went to make bread. :o) Heated up the oven and threw it in. Since I was up, prepped a little more (sliced up some 'shrooms) for the special dinner I'm putting together tomorrow. Checked my recipes again to make sure I have everything I need - I don't. Took the bread out after 20 minutes. It was quarter after 6. Went back to bed until 7. Of course, the best sleep I got all night was probably between 6:45 and 7. Oh, well...

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Good Morning Lodge!

I went to a county fair last night with a lady friend, had a great time! We ate cheese curds, pronto pups, cotton candy and malts, checked out the animals, watched a motocross race and went on the tilt-o-whirl.

I think I followed most of that!:p
Morning!

My TV made it to Kansas City at 4:25 am this morning. So we are on track for getting it tomorrow, just in time for the USA soccer match vs Mexico! :)

In other news, coffee is good.

Oh and I hope Ralph appreciated all the math I brought to this thread.
The US has a soccer team?

brent, I'll be able to make it to the BWW tonight, but I think I'm only in for wings and sports, no drinking tonight:(

Re: Rep Lodge 80: In a row?

Good morning from Denver. In my neighborhood we currently have cloudless skies and are heading for temps in the high 80s today. I hope everyone has a productive day. I'm heading for a second cup of hazlenut coffee. :)
