A friend of mine called me last night, said she got some bad news at work and was having a really bad day. She needed someone to talk to, since she was having a really tough time with this, I just couldn't justify hanging her out to dry.

Rode my bike along the boardwalk to the T this morning. I think I may make a habit of that (once I get it tuned up) as it's very relaxing (and cuts my morning commute down significantly).

That pretty much sums it up. We are all getting together for dinner tonight. I am going to have a hard time keeping my mouth shut.

My favorite line when someone is BSing- "why would you say that?" with a curious look on your face.

We have those as well. IIRC, swine flu tests as type A (but of course confirmation must be done, and that is only done by the dept of health / CDC - and they've all discontinued that due to the fact the virus has spread so much).

What concerns me is the fact the media blew up this issue so much in the early going when it was a relatively minor concern. This makes it far more likely that people will tend to downplay it when the flu season commences in the fall, when in fact that is the time when this could become a major problem for the public health system (as is apparently the case in the UK now).

Apparently Pitino didn't see the trojan ads for their condoms that don't even feel like they're on.

Not looking forward to the PO people who want to protect themselves but aren't in the first tier. You are right about the testing thing. Still wondering where they are getting the stats from.

I will never waste a drink or Crown on this crowd.

Last week the g family took a mini vacation. We had a blast but I am exhausted. Mrs. g and the boys will be gone next weekend. I am not sure what I will be doing or where I will be doing it but I know one thing is for sure.............Crown will be involved.

(And no, that is not what the young kids are calling it these days. )

I had my alarm set for 6:42 this morning. I woke up at 9:57. Just a bit late to work.

I got up at 6:45, yeah, its not that early compared to when some people around here wake up, but I really miss the days from college when I didn't have morning classes and I got to sleep until 11:00.
