Dang. I just had to turn down a free ski trip to Jackson Hole.:mad:

I have a client meeting that I have to be here for. Not that I could survive skiing at Jackson anyway, but I'd like to try.

Hello Lodge! Have to go out and buy the last of the Christmas presents this evening, then commence wrapping! Nothing like leaving stuff for the last minute (though some things have to be bought last minute). Also decide to commence Christmas cookie making tonight.

Went out and looked at the Christmas lights in the surrounding neighborhoods while it was snowing last night. Very romantic and very Christmas-y. :)

JH is terrific skiing. Lots of steep and deep. Snow coverage is quite reliable.

Greetings gang. Kinda quiet here at work today as my boss and her boss are out. Trying to get a bunch of small things off my plate before end of day tomorrow. I'm out through January 4th after tomorrow afternoon.

So, I am supposed to go see Jersey Boys tomorrow night. My cousin, who lives in Ann Arbor, bought four tickets - her, me, her brother and his girlfriend were planning to go. She was due to fly here last night for an extended visit. On Sunday, she was doing Christmas with her inlaws at her house and her husband's grandmother had a brain aneurysm while there. Things don't look good, she's in the hospital still, in Ann Arbor, and her inlaws are still at her house. Needless to say, she didn't fly home last night. She probably won't be coming now till Thursday. Problem is, she bought the tickets. I had to call her today and be a little insensitive and say "Can you download and email to me? Or print out and overnight to me for tomorrow?" I also hear that her brother and his girlfriend are on the outs, so now I don't know if either of them are coming. Such drama.

Good morning Lodge.

Just got back from spending some time in class with little g at pre school. We made a kick azz gingerbread house. It was a blast! It was neat watching him interact with his peers in a classrooom setting. I cannot begin to express how proud I am of him and how impressed I was at the things he can do in that setting. Most of his classmates are really supportive and I didn't realize just how popular he is with his peers. (except one little jack bag that calls little g a retard)

Before that I met up with some friends for breakfast and before that I cleared the driveway. I like this not working gig. :)

Just got an e-mail from Mrs. Shot. Her boss has given her tomorrow off. As a result, we'll head to the mountains after breakfast tomorrow and be able to get another half day of skiing in at Breck tomorrow rather than having to wait until Thursday morning. Plus, by being able to head to the mountains early tomorrow morning we'll be ahead of lots of the holiday traffic which will be heading to ski country beginning tomorrow afternoon and later in the week. Since there's another storm forecast for Wednesday night we'll be able to cut fresh tracks on Thursday. Sweet.

Good luck! If there is a guy named Ryan Strand in that company, he's my cousin's son. The one whose wedding we attended this summer. He plays the part of "Swing." Not sure which sites he is playing at.

hey, just because the bunny hill at Jackson Hole would be the double black diamond at Afton doesn't mean he can't snowplow his way down! :p

Shot, how much snow is Breck receiving today?

Hey! I'd sideslip, not snowplow.:mad:

That's what I had to do at Red Lodge one time when I got on the run under the lift by mistake - too steep, rockey and narrow for me to negotiate.:o

Since my wife doesn't have to work tomorrow and I've arranged my schedule so I don't have to work until next week, after breakfast tomorrow we'll pack the car and head for Christmas in Ski Country.

I know later this week lots of folks will be gathering in the LODGE OBSERVATION TOWER to keep their eyes on the skies. Here are some celestial coordinates you might want to have handy. noradsanta.org
