hawthr and Ralph got themselves off to a solid start, tallying the first bonus points of the season and opening up a five-point lead over the group in 3rd place. FlagDUDE barely kept his streak alive, picking up a single point on Higgs' secondary assist on an insurance goal. Well, at least it wasn't an empty netter. He continues his drive to unseat Ralph for the record of most consecutive PtC weeks picking up at least one point.
The scoring for the Engineers came from fairly predictable sources, leading to some pretty decent scores. Perhaps I should rethink this whole no ineligible players thing
Nick Bailen (hawthr, Ralph Baer, RHamilton, RKarger, and TuteScrooge) and Guy Leboeuf (nobody) each tallied two assists on Friday and were worth four points. Saturday's leader was (unsurprisingly) Jacob Laliberte. Surprsingly, only hawthr and Ralph chose Mr. Laliberte.
Dakota Klecha tallied FSU's Friday goal and was the leading scorer that night as the only player to score two PtC points. Brandon Anselmini scored the Bulldogs' second goal on Saturday night and was worth three. Neither was selected by any of the 16 posters.

With the Engineers travelling to Minnesota to take on the Mavericks this weekend, picks will not be due until 7:30 Central. That means that you have an extra hour and a half to procrastinate compared to a normal week.
Last season, the Engineers opened their season against Mankato and produced a split. This season, RPI travels to the Verizon Wireless Center (No, they're not going to Manchester, NH. No, not Washington, DC, either.) to face off against Minnesota State. Minnesota State opened with a pair of games in Huntsville, AL and also came away with three points.
You may not choose the following players for this game:

I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep the streak alive, though. I do well in the second half of the season, not so much so in the first half.
