Rensselaer Engineers: Pick to Click: 2012-13 Edition

Re: Rensselaer Engineers: Pick to Click: 2012-13 Edition

Just heard Ken Schott state that the game will go to a shootout if tied after 65 minutes. Will shootout goals count? I assume not, but just in case, I figured that I should ask.

No, they won't. And, the game will also be recorded as a tie (in case anyone wanted to pick goalies). Basically, for my purposes, the game ends when the NCAA says that it ends.

Re: Rensselaer Engineers: Pick to Click: 2012-13 Edition

hawthr apparently wasn't a big fan of not being in first. He picks up two points from Ciampini's goal and moves back into the overall lead.

REDaero91 wins her second week of the season (she also tied for the win on the Brown / Yale weekend), picking up points from both of her selections (the only poster to do so) and moves into a tie for 12th with MavHockey.

CJ Lee (lugnut, REDaero) assisted on both goals last night and Mark McGowan (nobody) scored with just less than five minutes remaining to earn two PtC points each.

Mat Bodie (nobody) assisted on the game-winning goal, Daniel Ciampini (hawthr) opened the game's scoring, Troy Grosenick (FlagDUDE) earned the win, and Matt Wilkins (nobody) scored the game-winning goal to also earn two PtC points each. Greg Coburn's goal and assist and Wayne Simpson's pair of assists were ineligible to be chosen.

Eight of the thirteen posters did not score a point yesterday, so TuteScrooge lost his title as longest active point-scoring streak in addition to the overall lead. That title now passes on to FlagDUDE08 and lugnut92 who have both scored every single weekend since (and including) the non-conference series against Mercyhurst in November. ehf dropped a pair of spots as both FD and lugnut passed him and RPI fan 4 life continues to climb past the posters who have quit. Otherwise, everyone remained in place.

Link back to the title post with details on scoring

RPI returns to the friendly confines of the HFH to take on a pair of Ivies who have had a bit of a rough go recently. The Engineers are on a 2-0-0 ECAC run, but dropped a non-conference game this past weekend to Union.

Harvard is on the opposite end of the spectrum with nine losses in their last nine ECAC games and only one win since November 16th. Dartmouth is doing slightly better, having bested Clarkson last night to salvage a split against the North Country duo, but that's a far cry from the 5-0-1 start they had to the season.

Picks must be in by puck drop on Friday at 7pm, otherwise it's tough cupcakes for you.

You may not choose the following players for this game:
Rensselaer: Ryan Haggerty NOR Nick Bailen
Harvard: Jimmy Vesey NOR Danny Biega
Dartmouth: Tyler Sikura NOR Mike Keenan

Re: Rensselaer Engineers: Pick to Click: 2012-13 Edition

I don't like this statement, given Harvard's recent performance in the ECAC.

Why's that a bad thing? This past week, and two weeks before that, I would have liked to have had my streak broken, unfortunately there was something that kept it alive.

Re: Rensselaer Engineers: Pick to Click: 2012-13 Edition

I was referring to Harvard's 9-game ECAC losing streak. I didn't realize you had some sort of streak going.
