If they advocate a political position, kill their tax exempt status. Absolutely. They aren't churches, they're Hitler Youth Incubators.

We have to be smart about this. The nutbars are going to drape themselves in the swaddling clothes of the innocent, so we need to work from the other side in. Wouldn't hurt to take out our own crazy Islamofascists and Blue-eyed Devil Hunters while we're at it. There actually are a few, and, again, the brush should be "political organizations using religion for money laundering," not simply Nazis.

That we can expunge the Nazis while doing it, and that 97% of the offenders in the US are right wing, is fortunate happenstance.

In other news, a guy who never has to worry about money, will never himself be a parent, and won't allow his own subordinates to marry and become parents, is nevertheless still running around wagging his finger at us child-free folks and spouting pre-Vatican II opinions on Catholic mores. And still the Church wonders why it has a membership and attendance problem in the Western world.

The history of this council is hilarious. It ran almost twenty years. The delegates almost never showed up and instead used the excuse to whore, gamble, and pad their expense accounts, which proved the Protestants' point while apodictically demonstrating Catholicism is inherently better.

It's also where the Church went nuts and started off Counter-Reformation Baroque, which is more gauch than Dump and more over-the-top than Michael Bay. I mean, what in the holy fuck is this?!:

As gaudy as it is, I would take baroque over any church built since Vatican II. If you aren't going to give your billions to the poor like your paragon told you to, you may as well spend it like a drunken sailor.
 
One thing I understand about Paul:

Him being blinded on the way to Damascus and God telling him to basically knock that shit off was a delusion at best. And when he came back saying "do it my way or else," there's little wonder Peter and the other Apostles didn't receive him.
