The Colgate community hopes you have a great weekend, you certainly have your hands full tonight ! Thinking with your huge goaltending advantage it will be enough. Has to be a low scoring affair, you can't get into a sprint with those guys !

Funny you said that, I actually think the comparison to Gonzaga is fairly apt. Team from a smaller conference, smaller University no one has ever heard of, punches above their weight and has pushed their way into the big-time ... While the ECAC is a bigger conference than the WCC, I do think Quinnipiac modeled their hockey program after what was built at Gonzaga.

I agree it's a good comparison. It's the similarities that scare me. I could be wrong but think Gonzaga has been to 2 Final Fours and played in the championship game both times. Sounds very familiar. However, I would actually like to win the big one (at least once). :) Third times a charm?
 
ESPN sucks but that was a nice Q name check by the intern going into the break.

Still doubting the Bobcats? We know ESPN is. Fine. Screw 'em. Keep doubting us. Keep underestimating us. We're here, and we're here to win the damn thing. Bring on the Gophers.

During the last week, Rand kept saying he thought this was a good matchup for us. He was spot-on, as usual.

A bad goalie and bad defensive team, no matter how good offensively, is a good matchup for us. We have one of the best goalies in the country and a lock-down defense. That's how you win in the playoffs. Just a brilliant gameplan executed flawlessly. We honestly played better than 2-1 after the first period, kept it together during a rocky second, and once we got the lead in the third it was time to do what we do best.

This team is so good. It's incredible.
