Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Or as Donato said in his presser, "To win the ECAC, you need to go through Quinny."

That's a nice quote.

Good luck to you guys in the dance. Represent the league well! Rand was very complimentary of Harvard all weel and after the game, calling them the most skilled team in the nation.

I won't lie, the entire season I could tell this team was lacking something. That something, IMO, was leadership. It was a great year that had low expectations from myself and I couldn't be happier with the direction we could see this team heading. The next few years are going to be something, not sure which side of the spectrum we will land but it will be special either way. Big couple of recruiting years coming up with the addition of a couple high end transfers. Let's see who can step up next year, hoping to see Landon put up a bigger point total.

On the plus side, I got my lady a Rafferty camo jersey this year... this might become an expensive habit.

I think it was a great coaching job by Rand, Riga and Dumais to win 23 games with the amount of injuries they had and the lack of depth on this roster. Sure they had slip ups which killed them (Maine, Princeton, Arizona State) which could have put them on the bubble today but there is a lot there to build on for next years team.

We talk all the time about the growth in this program -- ten years ago, did anyone think we'd be upset with a non-NCAA Tournament season after four straight years in the tournament? I sure didn't think we'd see this day so soon.

This program is a national hockey power, and I'm proud to be a fan. Can't wait for next season -- despite a down season this year, the future remains bright.

Is it October yet?

This Q team worked hard all season Shortfidge cam a long way in February March. Team played well last several weeks did not have that pure scorer.
See who steps u next year. Coaches did a good job keeping this program competitive this season.Next year I predict we are strong. Thank you for a competitive year Q hockey now one of the expected programs at end of year

Great non-con schedule next year for the Bobcats, according to Chip:

@ChipMalafronte
Quinnipiac men's hockey non-league games next season: Home - Maine (2), BU, UMass, UVM; Away - Arizona St (2), N'Estrn (2), BC, UMass, UConn

Basically the same non conference schedule as this year with location changes. Would have like to see either Providence or Lowell over Maine to tell you the truth. They have 4 games against Maine and Arizona State two teams that killed their RPI this year.

Congrats to the women's basketball team on their Sweet 16 appearance! What an achievement.

I am surprised we haven't heard anything about Connor Clifron being signed yet

He's a very frustrating player to watch because of how borderline dirty he is. I guess it's surprising, but I think it's likely he'll latch on next season with someone.
