Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

The Danish women curlers give me impure thoughts from a distance, but up close... no.

GOt to the point where you could see the other guys on the ice saying noooooooo! if he wanted to do anything that wasn't straight up point. He sucked big time today. Not sure of rules. Can they rotate so skip is not the hammer? If so they need to . One of the other guys looked like he was ready to brain Schuster.
!)

That's what I don't get. They were right there with him. "Let's hit this rock into that rock, knock them both out, and we'll get three points" Only disagreement was how hard to hit it.

No one said "Forget that, just knock that one out and take the point"

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

Why is so little called against the Canadian women? Clear icing on the first goal, constantly tripping OAR, and now a very obvious high stick (which did cause injury) not called.

Canada does not need that help.

All of this- in the brief little bit I watched there were at least 2 trips, a check, and in one goal the Canadian had her leg between the goalie's knees in the crease.

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

Stuff going on in the hockey game.

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

I just ended up watching the US beat Canada and the US beat Slovakia within 2 minutes of each other. What a Winter Olympics euphoria.

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

Korean women just dropped four on the US curling squad

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

So watching the women's short track relay- and I don't understand the rules.

One of the S Korean women who was not in the race (the non racing relay skaters are constantly going around the middle) went out on the track and blocked a Canadian skater. And then that messed up the next exchange- Canada and Italy falling out of the race.

So what happens? Canada gets a penalty. S Korea gets Gold. Somehow, the team that did not appear to be part of that incident, China, finished second, and also got a penalty.

It appears that short track speed skating is too much like NASCAR for me to like. Bumping is fine, but when something like that happens, it ruins the racing for me.

Canada for penalized for taking out Italy.

Korea wasn't penalized because both skaters had a right to the track: one had just passed off to the other.

No clue why China got DQed.

Best part is Netherlands gets 3rd by virtue of winning the B final in world record time thanks to the 2 DQs in the A final.

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

So no gold for Lindsey Vonn. Will she stay on the podium? Currently in 2nd.

She may be ok to be on the track, but she skated right in front of the Canadian skater, and that seemed to really mess up that exchange. That's what I don't get. That also lead to the Chinese skater getting in the middle of the exchange. Remember, the S Korean skater went down, which took down the Canadian, which then took down the Italian, and China was just messed into that. To me, the two Koreans messed the entire race up. And they get rewarded with gold...

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

There is nobody at this game.

And this just in: Ryan Donato is good at hockey.

Re: Pyeongchang Spoilers: Tomorrow's Competitions, TODAY!

Heck of a response by Donato after being checked into the bench.
