US wins its first ever gold medal (and just second overall) in cross country skiing in the women's sprint relay. It was a helluva finish, too.

She was two years ahead of me in high school. I remember watching at XC races being like “yeah I’ll never be able to go that fast.” That was literally Kikkan’s last Olympic race, she’s retiring at the end of the season, it’s so awesome she finally won a medal let alone gold.
