Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

BU fans have to be really disappointed with the results of their team thus far. I don't see a lot of light for tournament hopes with them right now. Here's to the PC Blind Squirrels picking up another 2 points.

I'm with you. BU always has a shot of waking up and playing good hockey down the stretch and winning the the HE Tourney which is what most of the HE teams are going to have to strive for if they are going to have any hope of getting into the NCAAs.

I'll take a tie. Nice weekend in Boston for the Friars.

Barring a flop down the stretch PC and Northeastern look like the only certainties for the tournament.
BC with a mixed schedule the rest of the way, some should-wins but all can't-lose games.
BU has most games that should be a sure win, but the play of this team has been questionable. Probably HE tournament champs is the only way they get in
Maine has a pretty easy road ahead minus one game with PC and three left with BC
UML had that early season win against Clarkson but nothing else really stands out

That's all I got with HE this year. NCAA hockey has been weird this year. A pretty clear top-tier/top 4/5 teams, a nice second-tier group where PC falls into, then there's a lot of mediocrity from your bottom of the top 16 teams on down. Looking at teams 15-30 in Pairwise there are lots of teams that should've been good that aren't.

As experience tell us we still need playoff wins. Don’t feel this team has the room for error that either the 15 or last year’s team had and they just nudged in.

I agree with both assertions.
PK came up super, 6 kills. 5 minute kill at end end of the 3rd. kill in OT.
Bad, needless penalties, need some discipline

Sukamaran especially that was his 2nd of year and he’s not a rookie. 4th line hasn’t really produced in this recent streak Maybe he sits and Hennessy replaces him instead of Conger next game

The fourth line doesn't produce EVER doesn't matter who is out there. Kavanaugh had a breakaway in the third period but couldn't bury it and Hennessey never scores. I am good with Vimal being out there ahead of Robbie as he brings toughness.

Conger hasn't given them anything all year with only three assists in ten games while Hennessey has four goals and ten assists in 87 games.

PC was much better in the second period creating chances and it showed on a PP scramble in front and an atrocious open net goal that Tait caused by pressuring Woll.

PP opportunities are way in favor of Providence right now and I would expect old man York to give the refs the old wink and PC will be called for multiple penalties.

Dope.

You would be better off posting a picture of an air sandwich.

Conger has 3 assists in while being +4 in ten games
Hennessey has one goal and 3 assists while being even in 19 games
Vimal has five goals and four assists while being -1 in 24 games
Kavanaugh has two goals and two assists while being even in 22 games
Tait has three goals and two assists while being +2 in 18 games.

Those are the stats, so who do you play out of that bunch?

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Fourth line might not be producing lately but have been good. I don't think any changes are necessary, they have been playing a lot of heavy minutes, take a lot of D zone draws and contribute to the PK.

On another note, Desharnais was quite impressive against BU. Won all his battles against Greenway throughout the game.

After beating the first place team in HE, coming away with a tie on Saturday PC is up to #10. Also, Hawkey as HE defensive player of the week for another time. Slow news day for a Monday but this is a good start.

I wasn’t the one that brought up line changes with the fourth line...just replying to the people saying Vimal should be benched in favor of Robbie.

Foley and Pinho were named Hobey Baker nominees and former PC coach Paul Pooley’s son Scott was also named

Oh zlax if only that worked for York. If you think BC usually gets favorable treatment from refs you haven't been watching for at least 5 years.

Re: Providence College regrouping and on to St. Paul

Friars could use a road W tonite,
Will happen if Hawkeyes keeps it going( 6 goals last 6 games ) and if Desharnais continues to play well ( plus 6 for last 6 games ) and if Conway and Vimal learn to stay out of the box.
