Providence College on the road to Tampa

PC played the OT like they were looking for the locker room......no doubt about who is number one in Hockey East and it is not PC......time to wake up and stop reading the standings.....no kill instinct

If that is the number 1 team in Hockey East, it is a bad year for Hockey East.

PC was making line changes with 20 seconds left in regulation and overtime instead of attacking.

Absolutely terrible decisions by Leaman all weekend. Playing McPhee in his first game of the year against the best team in his conference?

Why play Ruggerio tonight? He was fine but he hasn't been consistently in the lineup all year.

Do we need to discuss how players on the third and fourth lines have no idea who is going to play every night? No consistency at all.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Good news, PC's PWR got better after the tie. Remember this is the only poll that matters for NCAA bids.

If BC can stay healthy and get demko back, they definitely have the overall talent to get there. No question in my mind. Now, it might not happen but this is a dangerous BC team.

Dangerous? Everyone is dangerous look at PC getting a national championship. All you got to do is win 4 games. Couple of bounces go in different directions or calls, different teams win. This is true with PC's run last year, a Miami player had an open net and the puck jumped over it, the Denver major, and the O'Connor error.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

So then now you're just contradicting yourself. If all you have to do is get in to be dangerous, of course they can make the FF.

BC got in last year but really wasn't a threat. This is a much better team than that.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Before we're too hard on PC, there were 3 disallowed goals against PC. Two in the first period, and one in the last 5 minutes of the 3rd when PC was on a power play. The puck went in and the light went on, and a goal was signaled. While people were cheering, the ref (Gravellese) skated to the video area and people groaned expecting the third review of the night. Incredibly, it was announced that there was no goal because the whistle blew before the goal. There was absolutely no reason for the whistle on the play, and no one heard the whistle where I was sitting. A HockeyEast screw job.

Whaaaaaaaaah! The first goal was disallowed because of goaltender interference. The second because the puck went through the net. On the third Gravalese waved it of immediately.

A PC whine job.

Payback for the BC goal screw job in Florida. :p
Eagles should be 1-0-2 vs Friars this season. Count your blessings.

Hey Pro, How's UNH doing? On the second disallowed goal, if the net lifted, it's only because the BC goalie himself lifted it. There wasn't anyone else close enough to cause it to lift. I'll take the tie. They played much better than Friday night and the game against Brown.

Need a tissue?

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

Again, when one of the goals goes through the net, that doesn't count as a disallowed goal. It never should have been ruled a goal to begin with.

Re: Providence College on the road to Tampa

How does a kid enroll in school on Wednesday and start in goal on Friday?
Remove the 'how does' and the question mark and there's your answer! Simple. :)

Edit: You guys couldn't do it though. Only Jerry gets away with stuff like that. :D
