Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

And as I said in an earlier post BGs program is a mess but it is on its way back, just not this year. They should be where we were last year. I'll praise the coach when he does something in HE and not before. Tonite should be a repeat of last nite but a little closer.

Ditto!

Check back at 10 tonite and see......if they were playing a different team I might agree but not BG this year

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

57% full and rising. Coach is looking good.

Oh yeah, he's 51-79-16, so he's looking GREAT!

Talk to me in two years when he gets back to .500 (if it happens, and if he's still here to celebrate that amazing accomplishment).

I'm sure you're now going to tell us how much of a hockey POWER Bowling Green's program is, just like Army. lol.

all you eeyores take your rain clouds and head back to the hundred acre forrest. I have to go watch PC sweep BG.....

Beating HC and ND is an accomplishment, just ask BU, the defending national champs

57% full and rising, slowly but surely

Ok lets guess the type of drug he is taking. I vote heroin!

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Lots of new faces in the lineup tonight... Gates in between the pipes and an all-Minnesota fourth line of Maloney, Landman and Simon (the latter two seeing their first collegiate action). Still tied at one midway through the second period, though BGSU just starting a power play.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Still tied after 2 periods.
Last night they were able to score in bunches. Let's hope for a big third.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Final 3-1 for the Friars.

First road sweep in 6 years.

Friars killed off a 5 min. major in period 2 and Gates was immense in net for this one with 32 saves.

HE action starts on Friday with the UMASS Minutemen coming to town.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Great job finishing off the weekend sweep.
The team now heads into HE action so the real test begins next weekend. The Friars have started off the season on the right foot and I hope they keep it rolling!!!

First road sweep in 6 years.
Seriously?! Wow, that is an incredibly long dry spell. Good to get the proverbial monkey off the back, even if Bowling Green isn't exactly the mid-70's Canadiens for caliber of competition.

Friars killed off a 5 min. major in period 2 and Gates was immense in net for this one with 32 saves.
This team is showing impressive resiliency, and the goaltending has been an unexpected area of strength. Keep up the momentum in Hockey East play!
