Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Another Lou retrospective ran in the Projo last Friday, mostly comprised of an interview with Army.

Had to love this anecdote from it...

Years later, Army was an assistant coach for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. One day the team was in New Jersey getting ready to play Lamoriello’s Devils. Army had let his hair grow a bit longer than usual –– “Maybe it was a California thing,” he said.

As Army stepped off the ice after practice, Lamoriello –– always a stickler about the grooming and dress of his players — slapped a $10 bill in Army’s hand and said, “You need a haircut.”

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

He was growing his hair out because we all know that Toronto can be a bit nippy in winter time and he wanted to keep his ears warm when the call from the North came in.
You know cause he was in on a short list in Toronto because of his meteoric success as a coach and the Burke/Wilson/PC connection and all.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

BTW Those purple pants were handsomely stylish. It's not my fault that none of you are as on the cutting edge of fashion as I. :p ;)

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

I'm now obsessed with posting three times in a row and I can't figure out WHY???

Maybe I'm suffering from adult onset OCD.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Will the purple pants be at the Brown game or has the Hall of Fame called for them

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Dare PC91 post 12 times in a row? Or will that unseat the delicate balance of our dorky sewing circle?!?!

Nothing could nor would anything dare attempt to unseat the delicate balance of our dorky sewing circle due to the babd juju it would create.
That being said I will attempt to put all my pearls of wisdom in one post from now on.

I can't wait for the Brown game because it should be an opportunity for PC to get back to their winning ways (of late). I was pleased that almost EVERYONE posting on the HE predictions thread is of the opinion that the Friars should win next Tuesday. I'm betting that the purple nylon will make an appearance at said game and that the Friars will be victorious. If not, the pants will be retired! NEVER to be worn again... which will cause much weeping and gnashing of teeth throughout Friartown. :(

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

I forgot to mention that Brown is 0-2-1 thus far on the young season with TWO games to be played against Clarkson and Cornell BEFORE they play Providence on Tuesday.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

I'm sorry. I missed what satyking posted because I was posting at the time.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Not to be taken that my stuff was more important. Merely that I didn't want to be rude and not give your post it's due diligence.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Does a comma go after merely or can it stand on it's own? I hope that I'm not offending any English majors by asking such a rudimentary question. I would just like to be correct next time.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

We must have rules......proper posting only or we will bump the glass

Oh snap! I see that while I was asking forgiveness THEN clarification on the rules of English, I missed about the rules of posting. I seem to have exceeded not only my rule of three but also the reminder that you were giving for everyone else.
Here you are just trying to help me (and the greater good of the thread) and I shat all over it. Unintentionally, of course. :(
Thank you for being a friend and sorry I was such a boar. (As in a pig not bore as in a cylindrical cavity, a tidal flood with a high abrupt front OR one that causes boredom). :p

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Imagine if I tried to post 12 times in a row? I think that posting half of that would be too exhausting!!!

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

But could you make ALL 12???

I mean not just me, anyone!
