Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Simply put, I pay nice with peope I respect and want to but also say screw off to maggots, AKA you. You are nothing but a big mouthed punk

To easy. It would be like attending the Special Olympic just to heckle.

I'll just remind you to be sure to keep paying nice.   Now we know how you intend to get over Hokymom and Hokykid giving you the boot.:p :p :p
by "paying nice with people you respect and want to"

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Whoa. Hokydad has claimed allegiance to Maine, BU, and BC as well.

Chief, I think that he is a fan of where ever the short bus stops for his pee break.;)

BTW your friends here on the PC threads don't hold it against any of you Warriors fans. We know that he's just trolling for friends. :)

No one wants a prison or a half way house in their neighborhood but sometimes it happens anyway. This guy had to have spent time in both. Too illiterate to hold down a job and too angry to be let out on anything more than a day pass.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

How boring would this thread be without Hokydad? Just wanted to point that out...

You're just saying that because you're a punk/maggot and I have no life.

I also supposedly "despise" him.
Do I think that he's the biggest wussy who has ever posted on USCHO? YES!
Does he need to be slapped around because he likes to name call while he hides behind his mom's computer? Yes!
Do I think he would ever meet me so I can slap him around? No! He's a wussy not a real man.
Do I despise him? No, I have too much fun at his expense to despise him.

He's solidly in the North Star/UnionHockeyManiac/phil dupree/Jockstock level of poster who is more entertaining than irritating.

And the sewing circle amongst two dorks carries on......

You act like this a bad thing?

Between that and your puzzling belief that shots on goal statistics are in any way relevant, I'm starting to worry about you.

I'm not sewing.;)

BTW nice use of the word amongst. You've been studying. Told you that you'd have to step up your game if you are going to hang with us HokyGED. Glad you're trying anyway!!!

What's worse, us clowning you in our "sewing circle" or you constantly checking in on a thread of which you are not a fan, just to see what we are saying about you??? LOL. :p

The latter me thinks, Dope!

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Hokydad would appreciate it more if we took up knitting. I should ask Mrs Jon for a nice pattern and some purple yarn so PC91 and I can make some lovely mittens.

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Maybe you could knit a nice scarf for Timmy, it gets real cold on the bench when you are doing nothing all game long

No vision of PC91 in purple!! GOD it's taken me two years to get that image out of my head!! **** you!! :D

Re: Providence - 2009-10 In-season Thread

Thanks for the heads up Chief. It is a good story, especially as it relates to Providence. I particularly liked this passage:
“The work ethic of our players when I arrived, in my opinion, was outstanding,’’ said Lamoriello, reflecting on his life and career some 10 days ago with his Devils on Causeway Street to face the Bruins. “But the thing I noticed most upon arriving, having come from a winning culture at Providence, is that simply working hard was not enough. Unless you get to your full potential, both as a player and a staff, that’s the only way you win. You never want to be satisfied with mediocrity, accepting ‘working hard’ as anything more than a prerequisite. So we had to make A-to-Z changes. I’m talking off the ice, in the room, in the [front] office . . . and I’m talking right down to how many times the phone rings. To this day, if you call the New Jersey Devils, you’ll find that it won’t ring more than twice if you call. That’s the rule.’’

There is something about having a winning culture. Lou was and is a coach who was able to instill that and it has been a long, long time since PC has had a winning culture.

I guess there has been some debate about the coaching staff while I was away. Not to take sides, but I submit that the quote, “But the thing I noticed most upon arriving, having come from a winning culture at Providence, is that simply working hard was not enough. Unless you get to your full potential, both as a player and a staff, that’s the only way you win. You never want to be satisfied with mediocrity, accepting ‘working hard’ as anything more than a prerequisite." speaks volumes.

That is my hope for this program. At present, there is not the kind of winning culture Lou describes.

I highly recommend you all read the story.

Fred- That article really made my day. Lou really hates sled dogs, doesn't he? NU must really have *****ed him off back in the day...
