Re: Professional Wrestling Thread: Sign It Before The Stock Plummets Some More

tonight's offering is rather lame so far.....

Re: Professional Wrestling Thread: Sign It Before The Stock Plummets Some More

I swear every Raw show from now on needs a "boring" chant every time Alberto Del Rio comes on. And now ADR and Cena? Nononononono. Back to boring ol' PG era...

Re: Professional Wrestling Thread: Sign It Before The Stock Plummets Some More

She was a tremendous pain in the tail backstage.

CM Punk: Still the best in the world

CM Punk probably put some pain in her tail at some point.

/think the only people he's missing are Kharma, Stephanie, and The Fabulous Moolah

Oh, by the way, Linda's running for Senate again. Enjoy.

Re: Professional Wrestling Thread: Sign It Before The Stock Plummets Some More

Oh, and I don't know how I missed this, but the WWE has suspended Mike Chioda for violating the Wellness Policy.

Yes, that's REFEREE Mike Chioda.

Re: Professional Wrestling Thread: Sign It Before The Stock Plummets Some More

Smackdown spoilers (whited out below)

*In a great match, WWE champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Daniel Bryan, who was cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. Bryan taps to rolling armbreaker. Sin Cara hits the ring to make the save.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

ETA: Reading elsewhere it was non-title. Sure hope so.

yeah from what I read elsewhere it was a spoiler hoax. I really do hate the cross arm breaker, that top rope enziguri is a way better move than the cross arm breaker. Hell, if he switched that to his finisher I might actual fully respect him as a wrestler.

You need to grow the hell up, Punk's promos are top shelf.

Leave Foxton alone. The only enjoyment he gets out of life is disagreeing with what's legitly popular at the moment, in some vain attempt to prove to himself that he's better than everyone else.

That said, I love everything about CM Punk except his decision to recently switch his entrance music to one of the worst songs ever. Cult of Personality makes me want to bash my head into a wall. Just a horrid song.

That's a great song, grow up. I'm kinda surprised Punk didn't go off on Hall after Nash brought him up, I would've marked the **** out

It's a horrible song. It's dated and doesn't hold up.

Punk is garbage made acceptable by everything else being raw sewage.

Nash was terrible, "don't you know who I am" is never a valid come back to an insult, which was made even worse with a good portion of the audience having no clue who he is. It was almost as bad as telling someone to "grow up".

You are so used to the status quo that you don't realize that while WWE might be the largest promotion it is mediocre at best. There are independent promotions that are leaps and bounds better than WWE. RIng of Honor(ROH), Pro Wrestling Guerilla(PWG), Dragon Gate USA are the thre top indy promotions and put out a beter product than WWE based on the wrestling ability alone. CM Punk, Evan Bourne(Matt Sydal), and Daniel Bryan("The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson) are all from ROH. Those three guys are the best wrestlers WWE has, in the case of Evan Bourne he is misused as was Daniel Bryan for a time. You start watching the indies and you whole view of wrestling and the WWE will change for the better, worse in the case of WWE.

If you do watch the indies apologize for ranting if not you really are just a child that needs to broaden thier experience, in other words you need to grow up.

So I'm wrong that the WWE is bad because as you say, the WWE is not as good as the smaller promotions out there?

I could care less about the status quo, that's what's wrong with it, and Punk whining that he can't be Cena and McMahon is mean to him. /careface

And grow up, not everyone likes your favorite character.

I never said you were wrong for not agreeing with my reasoning for WWE being bad. I'm pretty sure Punk doesn't want to be Cena nor does he care that McMahon is mean to him. Maybe if you state your reasoning for thinking CM Punk is boring and garbage then maybe I could see you point of view.

Oh and CM Punk is not my favorite character. He's on my list of characters I support. My two favorite characters are from the Attitude Era. One of which is confirmed to have a match at Wrestlemania XVIII and the other might as well if the rumors are true.

So, anybody who
a) Thinks Punk is lame
b) Disagrees with your taste in music; or
c) Doesn't watch indy wrestling

Needs to grow up? Got it.

I think you take your professional wrestling a little too seriously. Grow up.

I don't take it too seriously I just have strong opinions about it.

a) If you think Punk is lame give a reason. If you can't give a reason keep your opinion to yourself. Lack of reasoning is how this thing started.
b) When it came to the song I was in Punk defending mode so I apologize johnny
c) Indy wrestling is just beter wrestling and I was telling Foxton to grow up not every one else

I understand that the fanbase has a lot of this going on but shouldn't you be watching MMA or something like that? At least it's real. Vince figured out long ago that it was about the show and not the wrestling.

For some reason I never got into MMA, not really sure why. Pretty sure it's becasue I have to grow up. But seriously I will watch it if its on but I don't go out of my way to watch it.

The only time the wrestling really matters is when it's time to cash in on all the build up. (Or here and there along the way to build up tension) Controversy creates cash after all.

Edit
It hardly matters if Punk was the best out there. (I love that video of him breaking the 4th wall and saying that while wearing another wrestlers shirt) Because unless there's other people who are also playing equal parts in the story, it's not going to be interesting.

Raw's been better than last week, the crash thing with Nash sounds like a setup for him to sneak attack Punk during this match.
