Princeton 2011-2012

Re: Princeton 2011-2012

Alison Pankowski is a strong, physical defenseman with a heavy point shot. She let NAHA White defense in goals last year and is not much fun to play against in the crease.

She's very good...and the younger sister [a forward] is probably even better. Perhaps this is a package deal??

Re: Princeton 2011-2012

I just heard about Amy Bourbeau taking over at Brown. It will be very different to watch a Princeton game without her on the bench--she's been there ever since I started coming to games over ten years ago. I wish her every success, except against Princeton. :-)

Re: Princeton 2011-2012

Thanks for the link to the new schedule, I was not aware that it had been released yet. I am really looking forward to the coming season, and catch a game this year during one of my midwest vacations. I think I'll have a look at the schedule and reserve some seats. Thank you very much for sharing this.

Only your second post and you have me lol!

Re: Princeton 2011-2012

What happened to Cassie Seguin? Is she injured?

Good question. She missed much of last season to a groin pull. Weber will probably play all the games this year, unless Kampersal expects big things from the freshman Ashley Holt. He has, over the years, used frosh goalies a lot. (Van Beusekom, Gaudiel, Parisi).

Re: Princeton 2011-2012

She's going to Ottawa U i believe. That's quite a drop in the quality of education. An ivy to Ottawa U. I hope this is about more than not getting starting time. The education should come first, not the hockey.

While Ottawa U is not an Ivy, I would not dismiss the quality of the education at one of the larger and more established schools in Ontario. Ottawa U has a good Med Program, and another attraction is the fact, it is a bilingual University, where you can study in either French or English. There are excellent packages available for students with a good academic record that can study in both languages.

She's from Ottawa. I would suggest that had something to do with it.
