PrimeLink Shootout

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

No kidding, so lets go with another western team that we've already seen instead of a new western team?

Who cares if they've come east every two or three years...what does that have to do with ANYTHING??? we might as well just rotate SJU, St.Thomas, and Stout now then...??

Once again..SOOOO many teams why are we getting a repeat? Thanks for playing...

I know stout is a state school(they probably felt they needed to prove themselves on a national stage....oops), but I'm guessing many of the UW's can't afford to go. The UWS athletic dept bullied a referendum through 5 or 6 years ago for the purpose of increasing the athletic budget, partly to send teams out east, yet they have not gone...i'm sure they are still paying down the debt they had built up.

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

"Thanks for playing"??
Officially, you are a d i c k.
Perhaps you should just ignore anything to do with Primelink.

Maybe you should put your reading glasses on and turn your hearing aids up... Call me all you want I could care less. Never said I wanted anything to do with "Primelink" ...its just a joke the way the coaches and committee ignored Adrian when OBVIOUSLY they didn't have A LOT of western teams banging down the door if they had to go with St Johns...AGAIN...when Adrian was doing all it could to be there....but instead we get stuck with St Johns...again...

And yes, Thanks for playing...way to twist comments around...but I guess thats all you can do with out coming up with some factual information...

Totally agree, its tough for some schools with the economy today...but it's a slap on the face when a certain team/coach was willing to do anything to get into the tourney and now they decide to go with a repeat team. Some people want to say the 3 are "scare or afraid", but the comments directed after Adrian contacted the Primelink committee was a stuck up nose...a why bring in Adrian when we have SO many other teams to pick from...but yet now they are going with SJU...again....

Who really cares what the reasons are? -- it could be that Mike, Bob, and Bill are friends w/ SJU's coach, and like to have post-tournament cocktails!? Or maybe they just don't like Fogarty!? Hockey is a massive fraternity that you likely have little experience or exposure to. Why have you made this your mission?

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

Maybe if you removed your head from its hiding spot, you might get a clearer view.
A fact is that Adrian is coming to the TimesArgus, therefore at least ONE of the three coaches you accuse of ignoring Adrian didn't have a problem inviting them East. Or do you plan on ignoring that fact to feed your delusion?

Or are you sim,ply upset that it wasn't accomplished on YOUR timetable?
I begin to see why you get the the reception you do in conversations with them.

Got it in writing or hear say still?? I accuse them of ignoring them because as of the last time I talked to Fogarty no one had contacted him, so I assume you are calling him a liar? Of which he wasn't overly pleased...If since then teams had then that's fine, and as I said once again (get those glasses out and let me help you) IF NORWICH (MCSHANE) HAS ADRIAN COMING THEN I GIVE HIM/THEM PROPS FOR GIVING ADRIAN A CHANCE

Wow once again nothing in my posts says they were afraid....wow....

All I did was ask a question and forward Fogartys answers to the mentioned per his request...the powers that be didn't like that idea (for whatever reason and I don't care), and nothing was responded back to Fogarty as of the last time we spoke...yet now we get to see another mid tier western team who has already come to the Primelink when there are " A LOT" of teams wanting in...unless he means "A LOT" from the east and only SJU from the west....maybe thats what he implied.....but I don't want to twist his words around like he does mine.

Just FYI, as previously noted, "St. John's has come east every two or three years for almost decade", however, this year is only Doug Schueller's Second year as head coach.

I do think the fact the PrimeLink's CEO, Trent Trahan and their president, Greg MacConnell both attended Plattsburgh State University probably gives Emery's wishes a strong bias.

I do NOT know why (other than perhaps economics) that the same "Western" teams seem to show up "often" in the East yet shy of a championship, others are never seen :( To a hockey fraternity layman like me, one has to entertain the idea that something personal (bias) is influencing the decisions

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

Are you attending any DU or CC games? Both seem to be doing pretty well so far!

Yeah, i've been to 6 DU games this year, and am attending both DU vs. CC games this weekend. DU is a pretty good team -- they tend to take large chunks of time off during games, and thus have lost a couple games that they probably shouldn't have. They'll be right up there at the end though, too much skill not to be.

:D

I wasn't being literal about the cocktails -- just saying that there could be a myriad of reasons why certain teams get invited, and vice versa.

There probably is some bias in there as well. My main goal was to give Remy a hard time. ;)

Just can't bring myself to go to Ford field this year, s I probably won't see them. Oh well, saw DU win it twice!

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

It was simple...KGT played an awesome game in net, and Oswego buried their few chances that they had....It wasn't as if Oswego outplayed Plattsburgh..
Oh c'mon, the ONE time you could simply say "well, oswego's a better team than norwich" to cheese off their fans... and you whiff.

The sad part is I agree with you that it's very possible that plattsburgh is a better team overall, but honestly.... there's only one part of the game where 'outplaying' someone matters in the end: on the scoreboard.

After watching both teams, no I can't say that. However, if Oswego's freshman can step it up to another notch (which I have no doubt they will) I think it will be very close.

And no, thats not "outplaying" thats "outscoring" two totally different things. There have been a few games that Oswego has "outplayed" Plattsburgh, but was on the short end of the scoreboard...

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

well I'll try to defend him a bit, by saying that we had the early game and didn't leave before the Norwich game. it was left next to the soda machines behind us so it was a bit hidden from plain sight. however, how do you forget something like that??? :D
and where were these same friends when we left so they could stuff there face.hey tim wheres the flag.

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

Yes it was bad for me also. They should be ashamed of themselves for the quality of that webcast.
Hi,

My name is Frank Koniszewski and I am the Primelink engineer ultimately responsible for the quality of the streaming video product. In regards to your comment about the quality, I do have a question;

Which game(s) did you watch and was the quality consistently poor?

The feedback I have received so far, across the board, has been positive EXCEPT for the last game. The video freezing and being jittery was solely my failure for not allocating enough bandwidth. I had not expected nor believed we would increase the number of concurrent connections over last years ShootOut by 100%.

I do apologize for the fact that the most important part of the tournament, The "ShootOut" itself, had the worst broadcast quality. The bandwidth issue has since been resolved.

Primelink is streaming the Plattsburgh State vs. Potsdam tonight. Please check it out at www.Primelink1.com

I would appreciate any feedback you might have regarding how this game goes.

Regards,
Frank
