Primelink 2013

Most incompetent webcast of D3 hockey ever and that is saying something. .

Part of it I get. Prime link wants to give an opportunity for PSU communications students to produce a web cast. That is okay, but the bandwidth issues are on Primelink

Re: Primelink 2013

I am sure that the Sports Information folks from both schools will do Prime Link a favor and tell them that over the last few years--while other DIII broadcasting venues have only gotten better that this showcase for Primelink has morphed int a retro event that only begs that viewers use a dial up telephone service.

This broadcast would do any internet provider sponsor harm. Sadly, Primelink has remained so committed to supporting this program--they deserve a better delivery system for this wonderful Prime Linke communications platform. They deserve better---so do the players...their families...as do fans.

+1

The support of Primelink for the event over the years has been terrific. I get the idea of the student production, I think it is a good idea. But they need to make the infrastructure work. Of course. Even the NCAA didn't get it right last year in the FF first semi. Kind of a similar experience. Watched a Buick ad for about the entire 1st period.

Re: Primelink 2013

If tied, 5 min OT + shootout, right??

OOPS, Norwich getting hit with a violation of game protocol penatly??

Re: Primelink 2013

Delay of game on the Cadets for not hitting the ice with 1 minute left on countdown clock, first time I have seen this called (a rule is a rule however).

Re: Primelink 2013

Tanner, it happened at Kritzberg many years ago. Don' t hit the ice on your mark. (60 sec home. 50 visitors and it can becalled

Re: Primelink 2013

Here could be the problem, the Cadets are wearing their road uniforms and are situated on the visitor's bench ... yet officially they are the home team for this contest.

Re: Primelink 2013

I have seen the protocol violation called at the campus center a few times but not in the last few years that I can recall.

Observations

Observations

Some anecdotal comments from a neutral party ..
-- Bit surprised at the size of the crowd in Periods 1&2
-- At the beginning of each period, neither team looks like they want to be there. Too much gravy??
-- Norwich doesn't appear overall as quick as the last two seasons
-- Does Beany still utilize the 3 defense configuration?
-- Camera never seems to make it into either near corner
