The GOP is shameless enough that Dump could fire Wray and they still wouldn't vote for impeachment.

And no voter will change his mind at this point. Dump's supporters are unreachable. He can do anything; literally anything. Think about that. He has no constraints.

Yet it was explained away that he gets to hire and fire whoever he wants.

It's interesting. Remember how he was on with George Stephanopoulos and he said he would take dirt from a foreign country. This was AFTER the Mueller report was finished. So, I guess I can deduce from that that the entire GOP has no issue with anyone breaking campaign laws. Whatever they are. It doesn't matter. Free for all.

Which makes sense. It fits in with their theme of not wanting immigration (more voters), voter suppression.

I really thought people got involved in government cause they wanted to do something for people. Not because they wanted to improve their stock in life.

Oh, he had the right to do it. Doing it outted him as a criminal. The mayor can fire the police chief who is investigating him, but when he does that the people now know who the mayor is.

The problem here is that Republican voters either don't learn or don't care. They're not citizens anymore, they're just brainless boulders rolling downhill smashing things.

Johnson served only part of one term. Like Tyler (WH Harrison), Fillmore (Taylor), Arthur (Garfield), and Ford (Nixon), he was never elected in his own right.

The Johnson impeachment was initiated on February 24, 1868. He was acquitted but then not renominated by the Republican party for the 1868 election.

Yes, he was in first term. I don't see where McCarthy made any qualifiers about how the person took office. (Because let's be honest he never researched ****.)
