Gee. I don't think what Omar said is nearly as bad as what Trump on Saturday. Yet, people are trying to get her killed for what she said.

(CNN) On Saturday night, President Donald Trump served up a buffet of anti-Semitic tropes during his speech before the Israeli American Council advocacy group in Florida. He played on the dangerous anti-Semitic theme of Jews having dual loyalty to the United States and another country, when he said, "They don't love Israel enough."

He then invoked the slur that Jews are hyper-focused on money, telling the crowd that to protect their money they will vote for him -- falsely claiming that 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren's proposed "wealth tax" will take "100% of your wealth away." He added, "You're not going to vote for the wealth tax... you're going to be my biggest supporters because you'll be out of business in about 15 minutes."

And he went one step further, saying that Jewish people in the real estate business he knows "very well, you're brutal killers. You're not nice people at all, but you have to vote for me."

Would we not have to embargo the entire Republican Party? Or did you miss what Senator Cruz said this weekend? And this was after Senator Kennedy said the same thing the week before. And how exactly am I spreading it? By posting it here? Certainly the people on this board at this point that can be saved are smart enough to know what is going on in that tweet.

I'm getting really tired of this narrative that I am somehow evil incarnate around here but if that's the role you want me to play I can get much worse.

Yes. Do not give publicity to terrorists. These people are not serious political actors and should not be treated as such. When children start screaming you don't engage, you send them to their room.

The problem is they aren't children, you aren't their parent and you can't just opt to send them to their rooms. You seem to be suggesting something closer to sticking your fingers in your ears and screaming LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA.

At the same time, the report found enough errors — and in at least one case, alleged document tampering by a low-level FBI lawyer — to provide Trump and his allies grist to continue to claim that the investigation was tainted.

Attorney General William Barr wasted no time in doing so, issuing a statement that essentially disputed the IG's findings and asserting that the FBI did not have proper justification to open the investigation.

"The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken," Barr said.

When Ronstadt, who is known as an ardent critic of President Trump, took the microphone to receive the honor, she took aim at Pompeo.
“I’d like to say to Mr. Pompeo, who wonders when he’ll be loved, it’s when he stops enabling Donald Trump,” Ronstadt said, according to Variety.

Variety reported that Ronstadt immediately sat down after her remark, which drew gasps, slow-building applause and cheers from the audience.
