POTUS Elect Trump II: We Are So Totally F%*#ed

Re: POTUS Elect Trump II: We Are So Totally F%*#ed

I think you need to know I'm joking.

Kepler isn't

So then, let's throw the question back to Kep and dx. TBH, I think Kep's already stated his bit - SC and south GA are worth their salt, which is funny to me. I worked with two guys in Savannah who admitted that Trump, "probably should be in prison, too." But, I'll also say that both those guys worked in "higher" ed (even though one was a recent Marine exit).

To be fair, so do smart people.

EDIT: And Kep just answered. :p

Misogynist and sexist. Who knew?

WTeFF you talking about?

I don't care what gender our president is. However, much of America doesn't agree with that sentiment. To change their mind, I feel we have to take baby steps, as sad as that is. And of the what, 3 candidates that have been presented so far, I don't think America is still fully accepting of that possible result. Ferraro and Palin were jokes, and Hillary was obviously a polarizing figure. Warren is an interesting prospect, but could be as polarizing as Hillary.

To say nothing of the fact that the Russians aren't ready for a woman to be President here.

Warren runs and that clip of heather locklear on tv asking for donations mentioning drunken Indians better make a comeback :)

I don't know if I believe that. I know there are Christian Taliban who believe some Biblical idiocy to that effect, but those cretins can't be more than maybe 5% of the population. And I'll give you that there are still dinosaurs from their 80s and up who don't think a lady is up to it, but again... what... 5%?

Even among conservatives, and even among fundies, my impression is nobody believes gender matters. They hate Democratic women and spew sexist bilge about them, but that's because they're Democratic women.

TL;DR: the right has people who are sexist and misogynistic but those are only ways in which they express their partisanship and stupidity. They don't start from sexism. They just employ it because they lack imagination or empathy.

Eh, i disagree. There's still an implicit bias against women just as much as any racial bias. It's almost worse because they make up 51% of the population and yet still don't get ahead because there's a sizable portion of women who buy into that shiat (I'm looking at you, Schaffly).

Heather Locklear hasn't been attractive since about 1999; talk about aging poorly. Try again, and maybe name some Asian actresses you beat it to. :p

What's the question?

Re: POTUS Elect Trump II: We Are So Totally F%*#ed

I believe he said that during the primary season. Nobody asked that question during the finals. A shame, really.

IIRC, the context was he was saying "the Clintons" were wrong to get rid off Glass-Steagall. It wasn't a position or a policy, it was just an applause line for Clinton Derangement types.

Though even if it was offered as a position or even a promise the idea that he would be held to what he said on the trail is optimistic. He's already said "I said what I said to get elected; it doesn't mean anything."
