I thought Granholm would be the answer. But she's Canadian. And got railroaded for not cleaning up Engler's mess "fast enough."

1. Not advocating for her. I'm SO happy she lost all of it. She had charisma. That alone does not make her qualified.
2. Those hoping that the "perverted stories" about Trump's pee parties and dismiss Clinton's cigar shenanigans are hypocrites:

Everyone has some kink. Who the hell cares? It's their PERSONAL life. My only issue with Clinton's shenanigans is that he lied under oath. He coulda banged Newt in the Oval Office. I don't care. Just don't lie about it. And if Trump's Urine Heaven stories are proven true, and he denies it? To hell with him.

I'll give you that Hillary has the charisma of plywood, but brains and tact/street smarts should've been enough against Trump, especially in her own demo. They weren't. There's more brains in Hillary's spent left ovary than in Trump's husk.

I have zero regrets about citing Caribou Barbie as the sole reason for voting Obama in '08, though there were a few others.

Hillary has the smarts, obviously. She is more than qualified. But she catered to the people that middle America hate. There's her flaw.

Palin, like Trump, struck a chord. Unfortunately, they are both too stupid or egotistical to actually run a country.

What I hope, Utopian dream, is that we take the best of all the mentioned, and FIND someone that is the sum of those qualities.

The difference? Assume that proof of Trump's fetish is now solely in the hands of an enemy power. Of course he's not going to admit it, neither did Slick Willy until he was forced to. However, Putin can use any video evidence as blackmail in foreign affairs.

If this really did happen, and Trump was smart, he'd admit it now. The act itself is not an impeachable offense, we're stuck with him for 4 years, and it will blow over until at least 2019.

I favor bio weapons.

Keep Savannah and Charleston, French Quarter of NOLA, maybe St. Augustine, and burn everything else. Sherman would agree. :D

There is great stuff all through SC and GA. And as you say, New Orleans is wonderful. I'd even keep the people.

AL, MS, TN, AR, KY, TX, OK... nothing worth saving. Nuke the latter, plow the former into the gulf.

Charleston has the best snooty food in the South; Savannah has the best affordable snooty food in the South, along with a "hipster NOLA" vibe; New Orleans has the best overall food and culture in the South.

Texas brisket and Kentucky bourbon are worth saving. Let's keep Austin, and Louisville + a few counties. ;)

I'll reserve judgement on the rest for now.

I think I'd be ok with just dumping Depo-Provera into the water supply in the south. As a bonus, no more abortions. Everyone wins!

Dude, I think you're at a point where you've gone almost full 180 from your college years. I've been there. Slow down.

The South wasn't the problem this cycle, it was PA, OH, MI, and WI. They blew it, and voted for the Butternut Turd.

I'd like to think, 4 years from now, we'll heard a lot more people admitting why they did it.

1. Anyone that ever gave Palin 1 second of consideration is completely suspect. Seriously dude.
2. Hillary was more than qualified for POTUS. I can't stand her persona, but goddamit she's qualified. The alternative was Trump.

Come on man.
