While I understand what you are saying...I will side with the people who would know over any of us. If the CIA (and other intelligence agencies) believe they did it then most likely they have evidence.

Now that doesnt mean I think they stole it for Trump or he only won because of them but the Wikileaks stuff alone was from Russian hacks the evidence was pretty ****ing even at the time.

The fact that the CIA is publicly saying this speaks volumes. They wouldn't be saying this publicly if they didn't have evidence.

What exactly is the evidence they have?

From everything I've been able to find this morning, it appears the CIA believes the Russians hacked emails. Not exactly a surprise. I think we knew that last summer.

They may have also been planting false news stories. I don't think they were exactly alone in that regard. The amount of disinformation peddled about this election was astounding.

But how, exactly, this impacted the election has not been shown, at least as far as I can tell. Furthermore, the crap that's being pushed to the public is basically Russia stole the election, which is a pretty gross exaggeration of what occurred.

The next four years are going to be a political scientist's nirvana. This is the closest anyone is going to get to traveling back in time and actually watching Germany in the 30s, and the ways in which different kinds of supporters will blind themselves to the rush into fascism.

(1) First there will be the out-and-out alt righters who desire authoritarianism and don't need to delude themselves at all. Ironically, they will be the most "rational" of the bunch, from the perspective of acknowledging what is right in front of their eyes.

(2) Then there will be the members of the leader's cult of personality, who will trust Him no matter what is going on. At least their faith will have an anchor, however misplaced.

(3) Then there will be the partisans, who simply look at the letter after the name. Everything that letter does is glorious and everything any other letter does is satanic. Things will get hairy for them as splits occur within their letter.

(4) Finally there will be the anarchy hobbyists, who simply root for anyone promising to overturn the World Order. Any bomb that goes off will somehow be connected in their minds with the possibility of liberation. Chaos is good, since it means TPTB are also not getting a foothold.

All of these groups are behind Trump now. We'll get to see how they justify things to themselves as this dystopia unfolds. My god, what a time to be writing a dissertation!

Well yeah, if you can use another country to discredit someone, they can try to de-legitimize the election. The globalists are scared of both Trump and Putin, because they are true threats to the illuminati agenda.

I don't believe anyone is saying they hacked the actual election, as in vote totals.

But they did hack the DNC, and apparently the RNC too, and selectively leaked results in a manner designed to help Trump/hurt Hillary.

The interesting question is why Putin and the FSB prefer Trump. I guess the majority theory is that he is a useful idiot who can be easily manipulated by appealing to his vapid vanity. The minority theory is they literally have compromised him: he owes them billions and/or they have incriminating information on him, and thus they can use him to remote control US policy.

Let's be charitable and assume the former. Yes, I can see the attractions of the latter (Trump is secretive and shady, as well as being supremely arrogant, too stupid to avoid becoming compromised and too unprincipled to admit it and blow up the whole plan, himself included). But it still requires a few tin foil assumptions -- like they ran an actual badger game on Trump with underage sex slaves or something. It also flies in the face of Trump's lifelong impervious relationship to truth. I can more easily imagine him simply denying everything in that way he can which simply makes him truth bulletproof.

Are there any other theories? I haven't seen anyone forward the idea that he is simply selling his services to the Kremlin. A witting mole that deep is surely worth one-to-two hundred billion as a fee for service.

Maybe it had more to do with Clinton than Trump?

The thing that I'm curious about is who do the Russians get behind if there is a major conflict behind us and China. I wouldn't think they are keen on China having too much power.

My read on Putin is he comes from the "let them wear one another out" school. But there are still good reasons to back China in that event. The Chinese are not expansionist while our global economic empire is a pyramid scheme that must constantly grow or die. Less esoterically, the US is the muscle keeping Russia from dominating Europe. Plus, open field running to the west would allow Russia to ease off border tensions with China. When you can have the wheat fields of the Ukraine and Poland, why quibble over a few thousand square miles more or less in Yakutsk?

I really don't know, beyond empire building. The military always sees a foreign army approaching. The FBI sees domestic threats around every corner. The CIA sees espionage. But no, I really have no idea of their motive.

I just keep waiting for the payoff.

If the payoff is that Russia hacked the DNC and RNC emails and leaked a bunch of them, and as a result the U.S. election went in a certain direction, I'm not even sure where that conclusion goes. First, what is the evidence that the leaked emails actually had any impact at all on the election? Second, even if there was some sort of causal connection between the leaked emails and the vote totals, am I really upset at Russia for that, for exposing what our candidates and their staffs are writing when they think we can't see it? I'm not sure.

I'm going to be pretty upset if it comes out that Russia hacked RNC to have leverage over the bloated rotting pumpkin. Latest cabinet appointment isn't making me feel better.
Of course I think it was clear he's got some ties to Russia and other places given the refusal to release tax returns so it's not unexpected

If you think back to the primaries the DNC did everything they could to help Hillary and the RNC did everything they could to stop Trump. Maybe the hackers didn't come up with anything good. If anyone should be upset it is Bernie and his supporters.

All that "economic anxiety", yeah not really, of people who said the economy was their number 1 issue (52%) it broke 52% Clinton 41% Trump.
But, Does Hillary Clinton's email use concern you A lot/Some (63%) broke 69% Trump 24% Clinton.
