Edit. Actually, a Google search of my name reveals a website of a very nice, but somewhat boring family in the southern U.S. The second entry is for some guy arrested for burglary out east. I've got to start doing some stuff more newsworthy.

What conduct am I defending exactly? Their first amendment rights, because if that's the case, yea I agree even the president elect has first amendment rights.

Here's the problem with people who are whining about all the fake news out there. It's always been out there, it's just that now you are actually purchasing it.

The National Enquirer has been around and on newsstands for as long as I can recall. I have never purchased a single issue of that publication. Why would I waste my money on a bunch of nonsense?

Except now, National Enquirer level publications come in the form of schlock websites, and every time you and all your friends click on them, and then tell others about them because of how outrageous they are and they click on them, you are purchasing an issue of the Enquirer. So congratulations. You are part of the problem.

Another question. What exactly do those whining about fake news propose we do about it? I'll hang up and wait.

No, they existed at one point. Those young kids who signed up to go fight the Hun in WWI and WWII. The pioneers who went from one side of this country to the other just by following the stars, hacking and carving an existence out of nothing along the way.

Now, fat lazy stupid Americans can't find milk in a supermarket without having to ask directions. Let alone be bothered to put it back where they got it from if they decide they didn't want it anyway.

That so irks me. I find milk sitting by the bread or peanut butter in the supermarket. That's pure waste and loss. Dare I call it venial sin? (Kep and Handy get the joke. :D )

If you had bothered to read the Detroit News article that Joe the Plumber's Crack cited as a source for their dribble, you'd have seen a perfectly reasonable explanation - procedural clusterfarks thanks to the city not having the money for modern, functioning ballot machines. You'd also have learned that in precincts with discrepancies, the vast majority were off by only one ballot, and all of them were off by 5 or less.

You keep huffing that gas about "fraud" though.

How many States require their electors to follow the State vote?
More specifically, what is the total number of electors from those "require" States?

And, isn't the EC winner based on getting a plurality (not majority) of votes cast in the EC?

I would think people would be outraged...but the nimrods in this country elected someone who said Climate Change is a Chinese Hoax so whatever. Now they can all get sick and not have insurance that will cover their illness meaning the tax payer pays.

The irony is the same schmoes who voted for Trump will be hurt the most, just the like schmoes who voted for Reagan were hurt most by his regressive taxation. The rich will be able to move away from areas that are economically (or even physically) devastated by climate change (and eventually will get off the planet entirely). The high education / high skill liberals will likewise be mobile and informed of the problems as they tumble out of the right wing dystopian future, and that will help us do mitigation in our immediate environment. The impoverished Useful Idiots of movement conservatism will be Left Behind in the smoldering ruin of the planet.

They have opposable thumbs. They could have figured it out. But as someone here convinced me, they have other priorities.
