Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

It appears that we have two tracks on the GOP side.

1. The Number One thing we must always do is RAM Reagonomic's down everyone's throat.
2. Nixon was screwed. That will never happen to the GOP again.

3. Lynch the n-ggers.
4. Jesus wants to hear banging pots and pans missy!

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Look at what they’re doing in Georgia and Wisconsin. They’re doing that with our own judges not foreign help

The GOP’s obsession with judges is part of a larger pattern: its reliance on undemocratic means to further its aims—the electoral college, Senate obstruction, voter suppression, foreign interference. Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

You know why. The GOP is disconnected from facts. None of the Dumpies in my office even realize this has been reported and of course with Fox they won't until the cover story is in place. That was Roger Ailes' whole plan.

Its amazing to me just how disconnected from the fact they are. During the Clinton impeachment, both sides seemed to operate from basically the same set of facts. It was simply a matter of did those facts rise to the level of impeachment. The republican politicians try to say there is nothing here to impeach over, but then they go on to offer up "facts" that prove this and it is 99% lies. So that's what their voters go with. At least in the 1990s the republicans basically said they wanted to impeach Clinton for getting his knob polished by someone other than his wife, and he spent a good portion of his time actually getting his knob polished by people other than his wife.

New talking point- house can’t impeach if senate won’t remove!
I’m sure they’ll amend to say R president just like they made up the SC rule

Because they spent all their time the last 30 years packing the courts and we just sat around and watch them do it. The Court Issue was enough to vote for Hillary Clinton. But, her emails, spite, we hate that *****, lock the ***** up, whatever was enough to derail it.

Look at how Gore lost. Court decision.
Kerry lost on a new GOP strategy of being pro military while at the SAME time being able to say John McCain was NOT a War Hero. And, the court issue should have been enough for Kerry.

And now the entire country has reaped what it has sewn.

It's interesting to me that there really are some prominent republicans offering the narrative that Nixon really WAS screwed and did not deserve to be impeached. Why these people want strongmen in the government is beyond me. Well, actually I know why they do and I guess it isn't beyond me, it just saddens me incredibly. How any person of color can have any sort of relationship with anyone white is what is beyond me. You can't trust most of us.

Isn't it interesting that Trump and Nixon are both related to campaign fixing. Which is all related to White Men being ***** scared about losing their power so they need to fix the elections.

This is so dumb. You might as well say women should completely boycott men because there are so many rapists. Yes there are, and that's on rapists (many of whom are black OH NOES!!!11!), not men.

Republicanism is on Republicans, not whites. The Doctrine of Collective Responsibility is bullsh-t and it's why so many people hate the Left. Enough. Be #woke some other way.

I brought in some peach and mint candies to my office this morning with a sign saying "Mmm! Peach! Mint!".

Also, all those Republicans are getting money from the same, or similar sources, and they want that money to keep flowing.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

It isnt just the Right that wants strong man leaders...that is a trait of large groups in general. People want to be lead they dont want to have to make decisions for themselves.

There is a reason why Lefty revolutions tend to get co-opted by strongman dictators as well. People love the fight, then they just want to be told what to do from then on.

Every president is impeachable. Its his conduct in office that determines whether or not it happens.

No panicking here

Not really. With the Left it's a bug, with the Right it's a feature.

Take the Mensheviks and the Bolsheviks. When the Mensheviks won the February Revolution they formed a Provisional Government and tried to both continue a stable provision of social services and also institute the reforms demanded by the Soviets which included popular sovereignty and decentralized power (in politics by region, in economy right down to every factory workers' collective). They also tried to keep up Russian commitments in the war which proved a serious mistake since the antiwar faction, which had been very suspicious of the Bolsheviks' motives, split off when it became apparent the Provisional Government would not simply sue for peace. The Left here was attempting to walk the tightrope in an environment in which the counterrevolutionary Right in Russia was fighting to get back into power and the financiers, businessmen, and the Right the world over were howling for blood over the nationalization of "their" industries. The Bolsheviks continued to harass the Mensheviks from the Left while the counter-revolutionaries plotted from the Right, and eventually it all fell apart and Lenin seized power in the October Revolution. A bug.

Now take the Nazis in Germany or the Fascists in Italy. In both instances, the whole aim was to centralize power under a strongman and enforce militant, centralized, nationalist policies with no dissent and no opposition permitted. In Germany the Nazis immediately declared opposition parties illegal the first day they had the power in the Reichstag. In Italy Mussolini was much more honest about it: he just shot them. For the Right, the Great Daddy, the Great God Emperor, is the whole point. The authoritarian personality craves dominance: they see it as right for their Fuhrer to dominate the Party which dominates them, while they as Daddy -- a little personal Hitler -- can dominate their family. From top to bottom the whole driving force is a fist. A feature.

That's what the Left and the Right are all about, Charlie Brown.

I meant to write white MEN. According to a recent WaPa article 65% of white men oppose impeachment. How many of those white men do you trust to have open minded views on race? How many times have you said (likely correctly) trump's base is a lost cause? His base is white men. People of color oppose him. A majority of women oppose him. If white men were just split evenly, trump might have already been impeached and removed.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Don't tiptoe around the problem Kep. If white men would come around on what trump is all about, this nightmare would be over. If white men would realize how they are pawns in the .001%'s game, that game would be a lot harder for the .001% to win.
