POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

This morning Smerconish actually said “Trump masterfully crafted that letter.”

My god he’s a moron.

Smerconish is about Smerconish. I don't think he says anything with respect to the merits. It's all about generating heat and upping his ratings.

I really miss the guy who started POTUS (blanking on his name). He was great.

Edit: Tim Farley, I think.

Oh look, another old white dude saying this is unfair.

I can’t keep track of these white guys all reading from the same notes. All that differs is their screaming and crying styles

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

Lots of chatter about how this could be really bad, and the only thing dump is truly afraid of

Oh no, the ways and means committee had to move rooms for impeachment?? Why didn’t they say this earlier. Now I’m outraged

I tuned into CSPAN just for a few minutes this morning, and I weep for our democracy.

I tuned into CSPAN just for a few minutes this morning, and I weep for our democracy.

The rule is never listen to a Republican Member without alcohol handy.

And remember too that this is only one third of the nation. And remember too that that third has always existed and in the past was probably even bigger. They simply didn't have such a high profile and in a way this is better because (1) representation is important, even for vicious morons, and (2) this way we won't be overconfident as we'll always have the example of what happens if we are lazy right there on the teevee confronting us.

If the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist then Fox and Hate Radio have done our nation a service by showing us, 24/7, the monsters we must keep defeating.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

I tuned into CSPAN just for a few minutes this morning, and I weep for our democracy.

I've been weeping for a long time now. I recently re-read a series of books that were published in the 1990s by Donald Bartlett and James Steele that cataloged the many ways our government, economy and those who have realized the greatest benefits from rigged systems have let the average American down. It amazed me that many -- most really -- of the issues they wrote about are still with us today.

If there is one thing that gives me hope, it's something that Kep pointed out yesterday. The fact is, the other side has to rig the game to win. The only way the republicans are succeeding is by cheating. They CAN'T win when they play by the rules because they are vastly outnumbered.

Now the real question at hand is how can we mobilize our numbers while we still have at least some ability to do so? Many of us live in states where there are active attempts at suppressing the votes. No ever tries to suppress the votes of the the wealthy or republicans. They only try to suppress the votes likely going to democrats. They only try to suppress the votes of the poor, people of color, people of modest means, people who too many guys who look like me think of as "others." Don't let them get away with it. We're all savvy here and sophisticated enough to know how to vote. Where and how to register. What to do if our ability to cast a ballot is questioned. Make sure that the people around you who you care about are registered. Make sure they look into the records to see if they were "purged" unnecessarily. Make sure they know that there is a good chance that someone out there is trying to silence them. If 90% of all eligible citizens voted, we'd probably wipe out the republican party in one election.

I really like the response I've seen from the Wisconsin Democratic party. They will put their resources into reaching out to the thousands of people that the State will remove from the voter roles, and in plenty of time for them to re-register and vote in upcoming elections.

When WE vote, WE win. Make sure you are still registered.

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

I've been weeping for 3 years.

Now tickets to concerts and drinking at clubs
Sometimes for music that you haven't even heard of
And how much did you pay for your rock 'n' roll T-shirt
That proves you were there, that you heard of them first?

Thank GOD I have today off then.

Also, can someone explain why the GOP keeps reserving their time? Are they saving up their time and plan on having Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan do a drunk rap battle for 20 minutes?

You don’t say?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here's video of Trump in 2014 saying what being impeached would do to Obama: "He would be a mess. He would be thinking about nothing but. It would go down on his record permanently." <a href="https://t.co/WctYjnjsP1">pic.twitter.com/WctYjnjsP1</a></p>— andrew kaczynski🤔 (@KFILE) <a href="https://twitter.com/KFILE/status/1207313493952802816?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 18, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

He's still there and he's still great. Morning Briefing.

I also really miss Steele & Ungar. Dan Abrams is half decent. I like Julie Mason, but sometimes I think she's just a bit too "I'm with the press, I'm above this." Oliver Knox is friggin brilliant. Love the way he covers stories. I'm not a fan of Cumo. Apparently I hate-listen to Smerconish.

Odd Fact: Rick Ungar created Biker Mice From Mars. I used to watch that show when I was a kid. huh.

A hologram of Ronald Reagan to start yelling?

This was an amazing picture I hadn't seen before. From the comments on your post:

This is certainly a good first step. It's shocking how many people with the means and the time and the skills still don't register or, having registered, don't vote.

However we also need ways to reach "voting deserts" to which we are not connected by one or two steps. Inner city, POC enclaves. Rural poor who have dropped out of the system because they are repelled that the Goldman machine has even infected the DNC. College students. If you look at a network diagram of the country you'll see clusters and liberal non-voters' do not overlap much with say middle aged liberal posters to the Cafe.

We need ways to reach these people. The Democratic party works on it but is also its worst enemy because they actively suppress the economic reforms which would most appeal to these non-voters. The big donor dollars are golden handcuffs because they capture the party and steer it to endorsing and maintaining the very economic policies that are harming the country and turning off vast subgroups of potential liberal voters. And that is of course a deliberate investment by those donors. When you own both sides, who cares who wins?

So we need to rely on the Dem party to get out the moderates while we find ways to involve and energize the radicals. After all, it is our policies that will save the country. The Dems are a big dumb cow we can use but they will never lead anywhere. That's up to us.

Until 2008 most of this third hated the government no matter who was in charge. Then Darky McTansuit became President and they became citizens all of a sudden ;)

I say it all the time most of the voters that support these clowns were the racist trolls who hated Bush and the FBI during Rudy Ridge and applauded the Oklahoma City bombing...

How is this not game, set, match?

Re: POTUS: Definitely Needs Anger Management

How is this not game, set, match?

You know why. The GOP is disconnected from facts. None of the Dumpies in my office even realize this has been reported and of course with Fox they won't until the cover story is in place. That was Roger Ailes' whole plan.

It appears that we have two tracks on the GOP side.

1. The Number One thing we must always do is RAM Reagonomic's down everyone's throat.
2. Nixon was screwed. That will never happen to the GOP again.
