Biden’s HHS secretary was confirmed 50-49 today thanks to....you guessed it, Susan Collins. She never is the deciding vote though.

the Biden admin doesn't really give a shit if people use marijuana -- the problem is a small number of people were unable to get the required security clearance due to answers they gave on their questionnaire. The Biden administrations hands are tied unless the laws regarding top secret clearance are changed.

People seem to forget that in spite of the handful of states that have made weed use legal, it's still illegal on a federal level. It's not a moral question anymore- except that we have not convinced congress to end this stupid prohibition.

We had a chance to end it when the libertarians split the Right, but then the libertarians sold out (c.f. Rand Paul), so we have to continue to deal with this childish garbage until the Right is such a small segment we can simply roll over them like Puritans losing their political stranglehold in the 18th century.

Easy way to cut wasteful spending- end the "war on drugs". Colossal waste of money that has been. We would be far better off to have controlled places where you can consume safely and then tax the crap out of it. ICE would be a lot more straight forward, the Coast Guard can spend more time saving people's lives, cops can just eat more doughnuts.

Unfortunately, Big Booze is a very powerful lobby who understandably does not want competition. Especially when their product is objectively more dangerous to one's health and more likely to be addictive.

with regard to potato salad, I make a killer smoked version. Baby reds, Dijon or any grainy mustard, smoked paprika, apple cider vinegar, thick sliced bacon, a little Mayo, chives, and flat leaf parsley. That shit wails.

I used to add some garlic too, but my wife can't eat garlic.

It's not a take it's a personal preference. I like omelets, I can make really mean scrambled eggs better than you've ever had anywhere else, I don't hate an egg on a burger, but fried, hard boiled, added to salads or sandwiches? Get the fuck outta here.

Actually... I'm in alignment with you 100% lol.

except I love eggs Benedict, soft boiled eggs in ramen, and homemade eggnog (try it, blew my mind; ask for recipe if interested).

also, ever since I switched to Gordon Ramsey style scrambled eggs I've never gone back. Almost custardlike. Just delicious.
 
Eggs Benedict are the only bad thing you can do to eggs.

In general, eggs are proof that god loves us and wants us to die of heart disease.
