I found it fun to get him to admit being a troll bot. Basically gave us all reason and permission to ignore him and people just like him. Works for me.

Any overstock the big three have are about to be wiped out by the UAW strike. Word is the automakers are gonna just lock out everyone if the UAW strikes, meaning zero car production and just selling off the glut of stock.

This long, hot, Union summer isn't ending any time soon.

Same reason people hated Obamacare but loved the ACA...people are dumb ;^)

Remember this though because when Biden wins again even though every "expert" is saying polls show he is in trouble polls like this are going to be why those "experts" are wrong. For as dumb as people are pollsters are actually dumber. (this also includes the media) They will only read the first number when they dig into how the economy is affecting the election, they never drill down to the follow ups.

This was why they all got the Midterms monumentally wrong. The polls would ask questions like "do you think crime is a major issue today" and of course people said yes. Then they would ask a bunch of follow ups on why they think that and if they blame the Dems or specific people for it. (which of course they did not) The morons in the media and the frauds they pay to discuss polling only read that crime was an issue and since the Dems had power made the leap that crime was a major problem for the Dems and would hurt them. They ignored all of the follow ups.

I was about to post that. I didn't look at every link, but the half or so that I did were reporting that Comer said things. They offered no confirmation and were not reporting it themselves (which, frankly, is a whole other issue, but one problem at a time).

So, sorry Chuck. Still swinging and missing.
 
Also, you have an entire side of the media echosystem (I invent new word!) screaming that the economy is a shambles. And the other side is halfway between sorta cheerleading and also fulfilling the NYT Pitchbot jokes.


Fox: THE ECONOMY IS BAD AND ITS ALL HUNTERS FAULT
CNN: The economy is bad but relative to the rest of the world it's actually ok
MSNBC: We're actually doing pretty damn good
NYT: The economy is ok but here's how it's actually bad


I mean, is it really surprising that people are down?
 
Well they are all still waiting for the RECESSION!!1!!!111 that is going to hit any day now...just like Trump's Infrastructure Week ;^)

I am waiting for the inevitable "Trump Indicted...This is the Moment When He Finally Became Presidential" moment cause you know it is coming.

Honestly, this post pretty much nails it. People don't understand the trade-offs between employment, interest rates, housing, inflation, etc. much less the root causes of why each fluctuate.

People are fucking stupid and don't want to think anymore. They want to be told what to think.

Also, complaining about the destruction of free speech by the people that tried to cancel Bud Light, Target, gay and trans people, ban books, etc...

No, not really; not any more. It's just very difficult to develop an overall positivity when for every person something is always going wrong. If your dog dies you get depressed, so you think "things" are going poorly, so you blame Biden. You approve of each of the actual measures Biden has implemented. You aren't crazy so you don't think Biden killed your dog. But you're still not happy so "things are going in the wrong direction."

The Dems used to be awful but they are now by far the superior communicators. I am as amazed as you are. But people will, overall, always, grouse, so the incumbent always has a job overcoming that.

Now, luckily, we have a GOP who has to continually feed their moron monster, so as we get into electioneering the Dems will simply talk policy and let the GOP say the type of stuff that gets their base in a lather but repels everyone else.
