POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

The flipside is true also. Dems just have to say "Don't vote Republican, they are against your interests!" And while they may be right, Dems aren't exactly looking out for your interests, either. See: the Clintons.

Obama has been the closest Dem to look out for what I want, and that's truth.

There are really dumb people on both sides. Really dumb people.

One wants to catheterize you with a zip-it and the other wants to help you while also doing some objectionable **** to enrich themselves and their friends. It's not really comparable.

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

You completely ****ing ignored what I said. Fu.

Both sides call each other stupid, in different forms. Depends on the point of view from either party. Stupid is a relative term.

So go ahead and demonize me. Don't care.

Aren't you part of the party of tolerance? Yeah, thought so. Your "fu" comment showed your true colors. I've been trying to be balanced, and you come in with lefts galore, swinging away. So, see ya.

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

False equivalencies are not the same thing as being balanced.

All I said was both parties are calling each other stupid, for different reasons. Scooby apparently thinks that the Dems are always in the right. And that is BS. There is gray. That's why I called him out.

"Americans are stupid"

Try visiting a foreign country for an extended stay and come back to that statement. I have in more than a few and America is in the news everywhere all the time which means it's common for foreigners to have peripheral knowledge of our current events. Beyond that they're just as oblivious of the outside world as your average American, easily (if not more so) as racist, narcissistic, selfish, ignorant...

This I have to agree with. We spend a lot of time downplaying ourselves and pretending people around the world are better at stuff than we are. Or choose at a higher level, or something like that.

When, in fact, we are all exactly the same. Just a bunch of people trying to survive with what we have. And with the need that we do have to take care of ourselves first, since it's clear that everyone else in the world is doing the same.

The only think that actually separates us is what we think the correct path to the future is.

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

The problem is no one was saying both sides aren't stupid. The discussion was a political context that had nothing to do with who's stupider than who.

How did the Clintons not look out for our interests again? And please use facts not fake controversies.

(you might want to do some research into the quality of living during the Clinton years, and all the causes the Clintons actually fought for)

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

Yikes.

Keep in mind all this is occurring against the backdrop of even more angry townhallers standing up to their GOP reps.

There’s a simple truth here. The President is not only flailing. He is unable to grasp the political reality he faces – indeed, the one he in many ways created – and is thus making nonsensical threats. He is essence putting a gun to House Republicans heads and telling Democrats, don’t make me do it.

The Great Negotiator.

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

I'm failing to grasp here why it should bother Democrats if Trumpy decides to start eating his own?

Right, that's the joke.

Of course, a lot of innocent people are going to suffer needlessly along the way, but that could be the motto of the Republican Party at this point.

But for the record, the dip**** that said we should elect a businessperson as president because they know how to make money has lapped the field.

They're only innocent if they voted for Clinton. Otherwise they've reaped what they've sewn.

Well, and this is taking a lot of mental gymnastics out of me, but if I had to guess he believes one or both of these:

1) Democrats dont want people to lose their insurance so if he basically screws them over the Democrats will come to the table to protect them. (like paying a ransom to save your wife)

or

2) The Democrats are so egotistical that they would rather help him than let their bill crash and burn...even though he doesnt have the votes to let it crash and burn. (it is bad to bluff after you already showed us your cards Trumpy)

Now, both are false and he is completely wrong here but he doesnt care. He has his Trumpers who would support them if he was torching them alive. (in say a Holocaust Center)

The only way Dems lose on this one is if they take the bait...which they wont. Stand firm, and run ads every day about Trump and [insert GOP Congressmen here] trying to destroy your health care while cutting taxes and pushing for war and cash out big from the table.

Re: POTUS 45.7 - Has the left reached the acceptance stage yet?

Sometimes the jokes just write themselves. "It's the largest, greatest bomb ever. The best. Everyone tells me how great the bomb is. U.S.A."

You can just picture it now, him calling up the Pentagon:

"What's the biggest damm bomb you guys got? That one? Well, go drop it somewhere."

'This is gonna be soooo cool."
