Many people are saying this is fake news. Many of the best people. It's well known that trump has the stamina of a healthy 18 year old man and functions on as few as 3 hours of sleep for long stretches. When his head droops and jerks and his eyes are closed he isn't sleeping, he's plotting all of the great things he will do when he is once again elected as president.

IANAL, but the lawyers I follow on Bluesky were very adamant that the press could not be blocked from the trial.
One, Southpaw, claimed that the judge was the one who fucked up here. That all of this needed to be redacted and ordered before it was put in the courtroom. So things like jobs should have been argued in chambers rather than in the courtroom. It wasn't, so there was nothing the judge could really do at that point.

You can prevent cameras and recording devices (hence courtroom sketch artists), but we have a constitutional right to public trials in this country, so no.
