I think the biggest thing they've downplayed is the police violence, which is strange considering how much the media have been on the receiving end of it.

What wouldn't he do? Trump's playbook rarely changes: lie, smear, gaslight, bully whine, and threaten. Re-writing facts and history will continue to be a primary tactic (see The Mueller Report, Mail-in Ballots, success of his tariff war, etc). And now, five days after hiding in the WH bunker:

This might be a legal question, but can Chump hold his convention in a place where the governor says yes and the city says no? For example, if Kemp wants it in GA but Atlanta's mayor says no, or it needs to have strict conditions attached, doesn't that kill the idea? Even if someone runs to court that's going to take multiple appeals and you can't exactly throw a convention for 20,000 people (Chump's preference) with a moment's notice.

This could be an issue in Nashville (Dem mayor I believe) or Houston, or a lot of other places. Not sure what the largest Gooper run city is but most are Dem controlled on a local level.

Municipalities are creatures of the state, not independent sovereigns. So a governor can override a mayor.
